Famed thrill seeking archaeologist Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones Jr. has dusted off his fedora and traveled to the Fortnite island in search of hidden treasure. Battle Pass owners can unlock a variety of cosmetics inspired by the classic 1981 character – portrayed by Harrison Ford – who appeared in four theatrical films with a fifth entry of the franchise currently in production with Ford reprising his role. Players have until the end of Season 3 to complete all of the featured Indiana Jones Quests which are composed of nine different challenges that can be attempted in any order. There are two pages worth of rewards and players will need to unlock everything on Page One before Page Two becomes available.
The knowledge of Indiana Jones possibly being brought into the Fortnite universe at some point in the near future was seemingly leaked and confirmed during the State of Unreal 2022 Keynote Presentation with eagle eyed viewers taking note of a few particular file folders which were visible on the monitor of an Epic Games employee. The folders included VADER, JONES, and FAMILY GUY amongst others with all but the latter having been released; players are now eagerly waiting to see if Peter Griffin will make the journey from Quahog, Rhode Island for a few rounds of Battle Royale competition. With Indiana Jones adventuring across the island, Epic Games has added boulders to the game – interactive elements that can be unleashed on unsuspecting players after being detached from its rocky base.
Players can unlock the Indiana Jones Outfit – which depicts his iconic wardrobe – after successfully fulfilling the requirements of Page One from the Indiana Jones Quests which includes:
- Search 5 chests at Shifty Shafts – Indiana Jones Banner
- Do 500 damage to opponents while riding in or standing on a vehicle – Rogue Archaeology Wrap
- Use the Grapple Glove to swing off trees 10 times – Raider’s Relics Pickaxe
- Grab Durrrburger Relic from the Temple and Ruins in a single match – Expedition Bag Back Bling
After crossing off the previous set of challenges, players will gain access to Page Two which unlocks the Temple Explorer Style (as seen in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) alongside the following:
- Find the secret door past the main chamber in Shuffled Shrines – Indy’s Dustoff Emote
- Stash an item of Mythic or Exotic rarity in a tent – Indy’s Escape Spray
- Make runaway boulders roll for 100 metres in a single match – Doctor Jones Emoticon
- Do 750 damage to opponents with a pistol – First Misadventure Loading Screen
- Finish Top 5 in a match – Emergency Raft Glider
