Arrowhead Game Studios Changes Future Warbond Bundles; Join The Viper Commandos In Helldivers 2

Super Earth – home of freedom and liberty. Helldivers 2 launched on February 8th, 2024 and quickly became an early contender for being one of the best games of the year. Arrowhead Game Studios have struck gold in such a small amount of time – players working tirelessly together to combat threats posed by Automaton and Terminid forces while making lifelong memories. Although the game features microtransaction elements, players are certainly not required to exchange real currency for in-game cosmetics. A Warbond extends the experience and offer players additional ways to express themselves on the battlefield including Armour sets with significant changes being made moving forward.

Arrowhead Game Studios announced that they will be slowing down the number of Warbonds being offered – focus on overall quality. Katherine Baskin, Social Media and Community Manager, Arrowhead Game Studios said this strategy will ensure weapons and armour have purpose rather than being redundant or uninteresting altogether. This will allow the development team to add never-before-seen items and hopefully ways to fully customize Helldivers even further; nothing has been confirmed on that particular front but Viper Commandos is on the right track with the following items:

Weapons

Armour Sets

Player Cards & Emotes

Utilities & Patterns

The Viper Commandos Warbond can be purchased for 1,000 Super Credits – $13.49 CAD – available from the in-game Acquisition Centre or from the PlayStation Store itself. Arrowhead Game Studios have not disclosed whether they have plans to release FREE Warbonds outside of the Helldivers Mobilize Standard Warbond that launched with the game. Super Credits can be found during missions however payouts are very small thus grinding for them would be incredibly time consuming.

Helldivers 2 is available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
