The musical escapades of Fortnite Festival continues as legendary superstar Lady Gaga commands rhythmic excellence for the next few weeks. Epic Games kicked things off on February 21st, 2024 whilst announcing that the Unlock Your Talent season will run through April 22nd, 2024 and features an identical reward system available during Opening Night with FREE and Premium tracks – the latter can be purchased for an additional 1,800 V-Bucks at any time during the event. Grammy award-winning artist The Weeknd headlined last season and the window appears to be wide open for other superstars to follow suit – Kesha played her first game of Fortnite as Lady Gaga and the community loved it.
Players earn Festival Points by completing Quests in Main Stage and Jam Stage modes. Certain tasks are repeatable while others are cumulative with varying denominations of points; does not take long to bank enough points. Wristband Quests are new this time around and offer players three additional rewards: Crab Walkin’ Emote, Fiery Fog Aura, and Orchestrina Keytar respectively. Epic Games affirms that items in the FREE and Premium Reward Tracks are not exclusive to this event and could rotate through the Item Shop for purchase at a later date. There are seven Jam Tracks including Born This Way and The Edge of Glory which appear as Featured songs – can be purchased for 500 V-Bucks each.

Epic Games acquired Harmonix in November 2021 and since December 2023 – Fortnite Festival has become a hit. The lack of instrument support will be rectified as Performance Designed Products (PDP) is releasing the Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller this year which will be compatible with both Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4 for Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Support for existing peripherals is coming according to Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games who said this was a priority for the team and currently under development but no further details are available.
