Epic Games announced on May 19th, 2021 that the National Basketball Association (NBA) is coming to the popular Battle Royale game just in time for the NBA Playoffs which run from May 22nd, 2021 and conclude on July 22nd, 2021 with plenty of cosmetics as well as a few hand picked Locker Bundles from two of the best players in the league. Starting on May 22nd, 2021 for a limited time, players can purchase five male Outfits including: the Half-Court Hero Outfit, Fadeaway Outfit, Buzzer Beater Outfit, Fast Break Outfit, and Triple-Double Outfit for 1,500 V-Bucks each as well five female Outfits including: the Splash Specialist Outfit, Rain Maker Outfit, Dynamo Dribbler Outfit, Rebound Raider Outfit, and Crossover Champion Outfit also for 1,500 V-Bucks each. Players can suit up and represent their favourite NBA team as all 30 teams are available to choose from within each character with the option to customize the jersey number as well.
Those looking to add all ten players to their Fornite Locker can do so with the Strong Side Bundle and Pure Shooter Bundle which packages all of the male and female skins together for a discount – 3,500 V-Bucks for each bundle. Last week, players participated in a Fortnite x NBA Team Battles competition between May 19th, 2021 through May 23rd, 2021 with exclusive rewards available for completing in-game challenges – Spin! Spray, Fortnite Banner, and NBA Championship Trophy Back Bling – with the winning team being awarded the NBA Championship Back Bling in addition to up to 500 V-Bucks.
