Festival Of Giving Event Brings Plundered Presents To Sea Of Thieves
The festive season has arrived on the Sea of Thieves with good tidings and rewards to all that sail across the wide, mysterious, and treacherous waters. Starting on December 9th, 2020 through January 20th, 2021 – players of all skill levels can venture out and complete twelve different challenges to unlock some unique and exclusive cosmetics as part of the 12 Deeds of Giving event. The holiday-themed feats can be completed in any order – solo or with a crew – and rewards will be issued immediately upon completion. Although it is not mandatory to sail with a full crew, players might find certain ones to be a little more challenging to finish on their own; not impossible however.
Starting with twelve and counting down – a certain holiday tune comes to mind – each challenge focuses on doing a particular task repeatedly in order to fulfil the necessary requirements. Kicking things off is arguably one of the easiest tasks as it involves cooking and delivering 12 Cooked Chickens to any one of the Hunter’s Call Seaposts scattered across the world: North Star Seapost is always a good choice.
From surviving a Kraken encounter to sinking enemy ships and stealing their gold, players will certainly have their skills tested but those Pirates whom are brave enough will be richly rewarded for their efforts. Rewards for completing each Holiday Feat include the Eastern Winds Drum, Eastern Winds Spyglass, and Eastern Winds Tankard. And if twelve Eastern Winds items were not incentive enough, players will also unlock an exclusive commendation – All Deeds Defeating! – to display and be the envy of Pirates everywhere.

The celebration continues on December 30th, 2020 with Grogmanay – an explosive event to help ring in the New Year and earn three additional rewards which will be unlocked in stages – one reward for two completed challenges. Pirates can turn in 3 Chests of Rage, set 20 skeletons on fire, and hand in 3 Ashen Winds Skulls to the Order of Souls for a chance to deck the halls of their ships with the Order of Souls Bucket, Frostbite Cannon, and Paradise Garden Cannon Flare cosmetics and sail into 2021 in style.
The Grogmanay event will run from December 30th, 2020 until January 20th, 2021 which will give players plenty of time to secure their status as one of history’s most bombastic buccaneers! Players can track their progress online via the Sea of Thieves Event Hub and also keep tabs on both current and future events within the world – Twitch Drops included.
Sea of Thieves is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
