The Chapter 5 island boasts a picturesque landscape with a Mediterranean inspired chaparral biome prominently featured in the western region. Between the luxuriant vineyards near Pleasant Piazza and terracotta rooftops, Epic Games flawlessly captures rich European charm, making it feel like a dream vacation; Clark Griswold would enjoy it! Players can appreciate the views by stealthily boarding a heavily guarded train at Reckless Railways and riding it to various stations around the island which takes approximately 10 minutes roundtrip – continuously moving. Those looking for a more challenging fight can battle The Society bosses and claim medallions which regenerate Shields over time; possessing multiple medallions narrows down exact player location to active opponents during a match.
Epic Games has introduced Mod Benches to Fortnite which grants all players the ability to customize weapons including changing Optics, Barrels, Magazines, and Underbarrels respectively with alterations possible using Gold Bars – similar to Upgrade Benches from previous years. Loot Chests now contain Ballistic Shields and Grapple Blades for traversal and close-quarter encounters while grabbing keys to a Grandeur Trailsmasher offers a decent off-roading experience. Medkits and Shield Potions begin healing immediately upon consumption and players can simultaneously move to safety. Animations are noticeably different and provide smoother and more fluid transition cycles: walking to running etc.
The Big Bang event – despite relentless issues – catapulted Fortnite into an entirely new era of gaming unlike anything before. LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival have released for no additional cost to players outside standard microtransactions.
