The Fortnite island is Victor von Doomed as the infamous Fantastic Four nemesis has consumed the immeasurable power of Pandora’s Box with aspirations to construct a suit of armour – basking beneath the glow of total control. Marvel heroes including War Machine, Gwenpool, and Shuri (Black Panther) have taken to the island to prevent Absolute Doom from being unleashed with players standing beside Captain Jones and Peelverine no matter the cost. This is also the second thematically driven season involving the Marvel universe in Fortnite history with the first taking place during the Nexus War conflict which ended with players finally confronting Galactus after weeks of build-up and anticipation.
Know that if you make any attempt to infiltrate Latveria, the only thing left of your so-called “Revolution”, within ten minutes of detection…will be ashes.
Doctor Doom, Thunderbolts (Vol.5) #4
Hailing from the fictitious Eastern European country of Latveria – Doom has summoned two iconic landmarks from his native country including the capital of Doomstadt and Castle Doom which darkens the surrounding skies; forge is billowing smoke as Victor forges his upgraded armour. Other notable landmarks include a decrepit Fantastic Four sign and the emergence of The Raft – a maximum security prison which houses the most dangerous of supervillains. Naturally, these locations will be heavily guarded however players can secure Medallions after defeating their respected bosses:
- Defeat Doombot in Castle Doom for Siphon Medallion – partially refills Health and Shield
- Defeat Mysterio in Doomstadt for Stealth Medallion – invisibility whilst crouched
- Defeat Emma Frost in The Raft for Reveal Medallion – periodically reveals nearby enemies

Players can also wield Captain America’s Shield or dabble with Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets – both of which appeared during the original Marvel season. The Fantastic Four can be found inside Castle Doom although they have met a somewhat grizzly end and Galactus faired no better. Epic Games can easily add alternate versions of these characters thanks to the marvelous power of the multiverse.
