The competitive world of Fortnite has been thrust into a prehistoric age for the past seven weeks with the release of Chapter 2 – Season 6 and players have been forced to think on their feet in an age without modern technology, primitive resources, and the constant threat of Raptor attacks on a daily basis. As the mysterious Spire – located at the centre of the Island – continues to emit strange lights and sounds from within, another primal force can no longer be contained and has one particular goal in mind – take out the competition with some high-octane energy and impressive foot work; yellow cards will not be effective this time around.
Professional Brazilian football (soccer) player, Neymar da Silva Santos Jr., has officially arrived in Fortnite as the Season 6 Battle Pass mystery reward and players will have the opportunity to unlock his Outfit – part of the Icon Series – as well as a variety of soccer themed cosmetics by completing six Neymar Jr. Quests with additional items and variants available after completing up to sixty Epic-rarity Quests. The Neymar Jr. Quests are available now to those that purchase the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks and all items can be scored between April 27th, 2021 through June 8th, 2021 which is when Season 6 is scheduled to conclude.
Players will need to visit three particular locations around the Island in order to complete the Neymar Jr. Quests including Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Dirty Docks which have all been equipped with soccer fields and NEW non-player characters (NPC) that will offer up unique challenges; some of which will need to be completed in a certain order before the other rewards can be unlocked:
- Talk to an Island Soccer Player
- Unlocks the Soccer Ball Emote Toy and a Neymar Jr. Banner Icon
- Complete 3 Quests from Island Soccer Players
- Unlocks the Neymar Jr. Matador Loading Screen
- Complete 5 Quests from Island Soccer Players
- Unlocks the Neymar Jr. Outfit
- Drop Kick the Soccer Ball Toy 500 Metres as Neymar Jr.
- Unlocks the Joia Trophy Back Bling
- Score a Goal with the Soccer Ball Toy as Neymar Jr.
- Unlocks the Jaguar Strike Pickaxe
- Eliminate 3 Opponents as Neymar Jr.
- Unlocks the Shhh. Built-In Emote for Neymar Jr. that awakens his primal form
Players can unlock even more Neymar Jr. rewards by completing Epic Quests throughout the Primal season that unlock additional items and variants including: I’m Ready! Spray, Stealth Shot Emoticon, Hang Loose Celebration Emote, Aerial Acrobat Glider, and the Exhibition Styles for the Neymar Jr. Outfit, Jaguar Strike Pickaxe, and Aerial Acrobat Glider which sports his iconic yellow, green, and blue uniform colours. With his Default style, Exhibition style, and two Primal forms, the Neymar Jr. Outfit has a total of four different versions for players to enjoy and embrace the boldness of Neymar Jr. himself.
