The Dragon Ball universe continues to flourish in Fortnite with the tally now sitting at twelve beloved characters getting the Battle Royale treatment including Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo – Epic Games shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. The collaboration started in August 2022 which also introduced players to the Event Pass – a mini Battle Pass – with extra themed cosmetics to unlock. The latest round of Dragon Ball characters landed on August 9th, 2024 and focused on the Trunks Saga with the titular Saiyan himself along with Android 17 and Android 18 from the aptly named Android Saga story arc.
Players could purchase the Android 17 & Android 18 Bundle for 2.300 V-Bucks which included the Android 17 Outfit and Android 18 Outfit along with their respective accessories – Android 17 Backpack and Android 18 Backpack Back Bling. Trunks was available as a standalone offer for 2,000 V-Bucks which contained the Trunks Outfit, Trunks’ Sword Back Bling, Trunks’ Charging Up Built-In Emote, and Trunks’ Sword Pickaxe. Epic Games offered a discount of 700 V-Bucks for the Androids bundle but players could optionally purchase those characters individually at the following price points:
- Android 17 Outfit | Android 17 Backpack Back Bling (1,500 V-Bucks)
- Android 18 Outfit | Android 18 Backpack Back Bling (1,500 V-Bucks)
The possibilities for future Dragon Ball collaborations is bright – dozens of characters could serve as suitable candidates for the next iteration including Majin Buu and Captain Ginyu but anyone from that franchise would work; Raditz (Goku’s brother) logically makes sense. Players can provide feedback through Email Surveys about who they would like to see added to Fortnite which will subsequently earn them the Sir Beurre Back Bling reward for their participation – enabled in Epic Games account.
Fortnite is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Amazon Luna, and Android devices with iOS compatibility available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
