Son Gohan And Piccolo Powered Up Second Round Of Dragon Ball: Super Collaborations With Fortnite

The quest for the Dragon Balls returned to Fortnite on January 31st, 2023 with Son Gohan and Piccolo making their official debut in the popular game. The addition of these fan-favourite characters from the beloved anime series are the direct result of the massive success that Epic Games saw with their initial collaboration which brought Goku along with Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus to the island. Players also had access to the unvaulted Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud items which provided them with a powerful attack and quick escape exploring the Dragon Ball Adventure Island to earn exclusive rewards.

Players could purchase the Son Gohan Bundle from the Item Shop for 2,200 V-Bucks which included the Son Gohan Outfit with Super Saiyan Style, Gohan’s Cape Back Bling, Gohan’s Charging Up Built-In Emote, Gohan’s Beast Axe Pickaxe, Capsule No. 576 Glider, and exclusive Gohan & Piccolo Loading Screen. Additionally, Epic Games released the Piccolo Bundle for 2,200 V-Bucks which included the Piccolo Outift with Power Awakening Style, Piccolo’s Cape and Turban Back Bling, Piccolo’s Demon Symbol Back Bling, Piccolo’s Handheld House Pickaxe, Piccolo’s Charging Up Built-In Emote, and Red Ribbon Army Aircraft Glider. Cosmetics were also available to purchase individually:

With the positive reception garnered from the Dragon Ball collaboration, players could potentially see even more characters from the franchise appear in Fortnite at some point in the future. And given that the roster of fighters is massive to say the least – heroes and villains – the possibility of getting Frieza, Captain Ginyu, Future Trunks, and Android 18 is certainly on the table; Epic Games have not made any announcements on whether or not more characters will be added in the future.
