Annual Fortnite Winterfest Event Delivering Holiday Cheer With Daily Gifts And Ship It! Express Rewards

Holiday festivities return to Fortnite with Winterfest as Epic Games delivers the annual celebration to players with fourteen days of FREE cosmetic rewards. The popular Christmas themed event melts away on January 2nd, 2024 and coincides with year end yuletide breaks with Epic Games returning to the office the following week. Things are different as Crackshot’s Cabin – a previous staple – did not return with no rationale provided for the omission. Sgt. Winter returns with holiday cheer in hand alongside the Ship It! Express delivery company with Snapshot Quests and an LTM (limited-time mode) which will award coveted Battle Pass XP as well as the Snowglobe Smasher Pickaxe upon completion.

Players can unwrap one present each day or stack them until the end of the event – these cosmetics are unlikely to be obtainable outside of Winterfest which means that players looking to procure certain items should make arrangements before they disappear. Fortnite Crew subscribers will be gifted with an additional reward – Glorious Giftblade Back Bling (Gilded Style) – for logging into Fortnite during the event; limited time offer. Epic Games has created a limited-time mode – Ship It! Express – where players engage in Zero Build gameplay with throwable weapons being the single option for dealing damage; consumables including Med Kits and Shield Potions are present in this mode; reminiscent of Throwdown which released during the Summer Splash event. Ship It! Express will be available through the conclusion of Winterfest at 9AM EST and could easily return to Fortnite again with a rebranded thematic format. Players are invited to a colourful fireworks display on December 31st where the island sky will become illuminated at midnight – multiple opportunities to catch the experience with different time zones.
