Star Trek: Resurgence Getting Physical Release With Upgrades Available To Digital Owners At No Charge

Dramatic Labs confirmed on August 2nd, 2023 that Star Trek: Resurgence is getting a physical launch following the outpouring of requests from the community. The game originally released as a digital only experience on May 23rd, 2023 with no word as to whether or not players would get an opportunity to procure a physical copy for their collection. While distributing a game through digital marketplaces is an easier and more cost effective method, the ability to actually hold an item is extremely sought after for some people – providing piece of mind that they will own that particular piece of content for a lifetime of enjoyment; digital owners merely possess a license and could see it removed without notice.

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative driven adventure – developed by Dramatic Labs – that features a signature style of branching dialogue trees which puts players in control of the storyline. This gameplay mechanic allows them to build relationships with characters and those choices – good or bad – have consequences which ultimately shape the direction players drive the story. The physical version of Star Trek: Resurgence will launch on October 6th, 2023 for Xbox Series X and Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 consoles. Players that have previously purchased the digital version on PlayStation 4 will be eligible to receive a FREE upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version prior to becoming available; must purchase beforehand in order to qualify. Language support is being updated to include German, Castilian Spanish, and Traditional Chinese subtitles; the game currently supports English, French, and Latin-American Spanish respectively. These updated subtitles will be added to the digital versions in the near future – likely when the physical version launches in October.

Star Trek: Resurgence is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 through the Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store as well as Windows PC available exclusively through the Epic Games Store.
