Japanese Inspired Masamune Crosses Checked Flag In Rocket Racing And Popular Fortnite Game Modes
Boasting a slick and stylish design, the Masamune has accelerated into Fortnite with players able to utilize the sharp Rocket League vehicle in Rocket Racing and Battle Royale/Zero Build modes – complete with 40+ colour options. The name comes from medieval blacksmith Gorō Nyūdō Masamune who is regarded as Japan’s greatest swordsman and his legacy is found within other video game franchises like Final Fantasy whereby a Masamune sword is wielded by Sephiroth respectively. This cosmetic is now available to those that own it in Rocket League courtesy of the cross-game ownership deal implemented by Epic Games in December 2023 when Rocket Racing joined the umbrella of Fortnite experiences.
Players can purchase the Masamune Bundle for 1,300 V-Bucks which features the Car Body and six Decals that are reserved for use with the respected Car Body including:

The Fortnite community is somewhat divided by the Rocket Racing cosmetics that rotate through the Item Shop as prices can be ludicrous at times with Car Body bundles ranging from 1,500 V-Bucks which would be akin to that of a standard Fortnite Outfits to nearly 4,000 V-Bucks alone; players routinely spend that amount for their Battle Royale experience however it provides them with upwards of half a dozen rewards inside one package. Future offerings could be easily incorporated into Battle Passes similar to what occurred during Chapter 5 – Season 1 which incentivized the Rocket Racing value further.
