Midas Has Triumphantly Returned To Fortnite With Floor Is Lava LTM And Rise Of Midas Special Quests

After disappearing for nearly four years, Midas – mastermind with the golden touch – has officially returned to Fortnite and found himself in quite a predicament. Hades is furious that Midas managed to escape his prison cell in The Underworld and now former associates of Midas are working to ensure their former leader makes a clean getaway to evade the wrath of Hades himself. The Rise of Midas will conclude on April 2nd, 2024 at 9AM EST with players having an opportunity to unlock Midas themed rewards or enjoy the midsummer heat with the Floor is Lava LTM (limited-time mode) which features a unique Midas approved twist – weapons reach Legendary status upon touching the fiery liquid.

Players can purchase the Golden King Bundle for 2,500 V-Bucks which includes the Ascendant Midas Outfit, Golden King’s Cape Back Bling, The Golden Touch Pickaxe, and Golden Ascension Wrap with an optional Shade Style available for the Outfit, Back Bling, and Pickaxe respectively. Epic Games offers players a modest discount of 800 V-Bucks through the bundle – however cosmetics can be individually acquired should players decide to grab only their favourite items from the set including:

• Ascendant Midas Outfit with Shade Style and Golden King’s Cape Back Bling (2,000 V-Bucks)
• The Golden Touch Pickaxe (800 V-Bucks) | Golden Ascension Wrap (500 V-Bucks)

Players that complete the Rise of Midas Quests will unlock:

• Cerberus Medallion Spray | Rose of Avarice Back Bling | Queen in Gold Glider

Players that complete the Midas Presents: Floor is Lava Quests will unlock:

It is unknown as to whether cosmetics – excluding Sprays – awarded during the Rise of Midas will be available in the Item Shop for purchase at a later date. Epic Games keeps Fortnite Crew and Battle Pass items exclusive to those methods of delivery but other events have been known to grant cosmetics through giveaways and similar instances including Epic Games feeling extra generous – compensation for downtime.
