Fortnite Cosmic Summer Event Packs Fresh Outfits And Rewards Into Extraterrestrial Celebration
Pay no attention to the giant alien mothership hovering ominously above the Island because the Fortnite Cosmic Summer Event is officially underway with plenty of ways for players to enjoy some fun in the sun. The event will run from June 22nd, 2021 through July 5th, 2021 at 11:59PM EST with festivities that include fan-favourite Creative Limited-Time Modes (LTMs) and an opportunity to unlock some summer-themed rewards and cosmetics. Players will also be able to put on their best beach attire with NEW and returning Outfits to the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time.
Epic Games will be releasing several popular Creative LTMs for the Cosmic Summer Event including Bios Zone Wars Trio 1.0 – Custom Teams which is available now and features four unique quests for players to complete that will reward them with up to 105K Experience Points (XP) in addition to four Summer themed cosmetics including the Brain Freeze Back Bling and Cloud Llama Board Glider which are equipped with a wide range of flavours and designs.
Three more Creative LTMs will be subsequently released over the course of the Cosmic Summer Event such as Pro 100, Freaky Flights – Air Royale, and The Pitt – FFA which will remain active until the end of the event. There are a total of fourteen quests across the Creative LTMs and players will have the opportunity to unlock three exclusive rewards after completing a certain number of quests. Players who complete any two quests will unlock the Believer Beach Loading Screen with the the Icy Pop Wrap and Lil’ Treat Emote being awarded after completing six and twelve quests respectively.
Players looking to catch some rays can extend their Summer fun in the Creative Welcome Hub which features game modes designed by the community as part of the Creative Summer Callout which Epic Games launched on May 10th, 2021 on their official website. The challenge was to create games that really leveraged on the idea of Summer fun; fishing competitions, beach races, and more! Entrants were encouraged to focus on four specific game modes including Team Battles, Role Play, Survival, and Tycoon as the 16.40 update added fishing, boats, and surfboards to Creative Mode.
Rounding out the Cosmic Summer Event are NEW Outfits and Bundles that will be making their way into the Fortnite Item Shop throughout the event and feature beach-ready takes on some classic Island stars including Midsummer Midas, Beach Brutus, Scuba Crystal, and Beach Jules with select Summer Outfits including Summer Drift and Unpeely returning to join the party.
