Fortnite Crew Subscribers Receive Extra Value From Their Memberships With The Photonic Legacy Set

Subscribers to the Fortnite Crew – a paid loyalty program with exclusive benefits – are getting another reason to keep their memberships active as Epic Games has launched the Photonic Legacy Set reward which includes six stages of customizable options. The Fortnite Crew subscription service was launched back in December 2020 and allows players to showcase their unwavering devotion to the popular game with unique cosmetics that cannot be acquired by any other means. The latest incentive rolled out on November 15th, 2022 with players having ample time to unlock all of the remaining components which is scheduled to expire on May 31st, 2023 at 8 PM EST – no word if they will return in the future.

With each month of membership, players will gain a Style for the Photonic Striker Pickaxe – the first is granted immediately upon registering for the service. Those already subscribed to the Fortnite Crew will have it awarded to them next time they log in to the game. While an active subscription is required in order to get things started, consecutive membership is not – meaning that players who choose to lapse their subscription can come back at a later date and continue with their progression, provided that the Photonic Legacy Set is still available. The other five stages contain the following rewards:

• Stage 2: unlock the Advanced Style of the Photonic Striker Pickaxe
   
• Stage 3: unlock the dual-wield Cyberlight Style of the Photonic Striker Pickaxe
   
• Stage 4: unlock the dual-wield Tuned Style of the Photonic Striker Pickaxe
   
• Stage 5: unlock the Complex Style of the Photonic Striker Pickaxe
   
• Stage 6: unlock colour options for the Photonic Striker Pickaxe: Laser Red, Radiant Blue, and Magnetic Green

As with previous Fortnite Crew Packs, the current Battle Pass will be gifted to active subscribers at no additional cost; those that previously purchased the current Battle Pass prior to subscribing will be given a one-time return of 950 V-Bucks which will be applied to qualifying accounts. Membership to the service costs $15.99 CAD per month and players can cancel their subscription at any time with Fortnite Crew benefits remaining effective until the next billing period. Any cosmetics and associated V-Bucks deposits which were obtained during the active subscription period will be kept permanently on eligible accounts regardless of cancellation; V-Bucks will be received on the initial subscription day.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices – iOS compatibility is available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
