Fortnite Galaxy Cup 2.0 Announced Exclusively For Android Devices With New Galaxy Grappler Outfit

Epic Games has announced that the Fortnite Galaxy Cup will be making its triumphant return exclusively to Android devices on August 29th, 2021 and participating players will have the opportunity to unlock a brand NEW Outfit, Back Bling, and Wrap before they become available to all players via the Fortnite Item Shop in the near future. The inaugural Galaxy Cup – presented by Samsung – took place on July 25th, 2020 and concluded on July 26th, 2020 with the top performing teams receiving the Galaxy Scout Outfit and Star Scout Wrap.

The Galaxy Cup 2.0 will be a Solo competition with players participating in the first-ever Arsenal LTM Fortnite tournament which was selected due to its tight match length and popularity within the mobile community. Arsenal matches have players starting out with the same powerful weapon with each elimination dropping a weapon of lesser power. Those that manage to work their way through each weapon class – best to worst – will earn a Victory Royale and add 7 points to their overall score with played matches and subsequent eliminations scoring 1 point each.

Players will have the opportunity to compete in a maximum of twenty-five matches within the designated three-hour time frame in their specific region including North America (East), North America (West), Brazil, Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Middle East. The top performing players from each region will take home the Galaxy Grappler Outfit, Hands of the Galaxy Back Bling, and the Vortextual Wrap with players that manage to earn at least 20 points during the competition receiving the Llamalaxy Spray as a consolation prize; exclusive to the Galaxy Cup 2.0 tournament.

In order to participate in the upcoming tournament, players will need to have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on their Epic account and have access to a compatible Android device with Fortnite installed on it; iOS devices are not eligible as Fortnite was removed from the App Store on August 13th, 2020 due to an ongoing legal dispute between Epic Games and Apple. Players can visit the official Galaxy Cup 2.0 website for a complete list of rules and regulations.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
