Fortnite Last Resort Update Cinematically Wraps Up Chapter 4 Storyline With Good Old Fashioned Heist

Vampire Kado Thorne has amassed a wealthy collection of treasure – erecting pristine estates across the island and hiding sinister secrets in the depths below. The latest season for Chapter 4 was officially released on August 25th, 2023 and is scheduled to conclude on November 3rd, 2023 at which point players could potentially find themselves jumping into a brand new Fortnite adventure. Epic Games has not confirmed as to whether or not Last Resort – seasonal designation – will in fact be the end of the freshly constructed Chapter 4 island and what direction the storyline will take players moving forward with another Fortnite X Marvel comic titled “Order Restored” scheduled for release later this year.

The island itself has undergone a few changes including the addition of three locations for players to explore: Sanguine SuitesRelentless Retreat, and Eclipsed Estate – guarded by security cameras, laser grids, and hostile henchman. Players that overcome these obstacles can battle against the formidable Diamonds Dealer, Hearts Dealer, Clubs Dealer, and Spades Dealer with Kado Throne ready to protect his collection of stolen trinkets at Eclipsed Estate. Epic Games has introduced an arsenal of weapons designed to assist players in their heisting efforts including the Rocket Ram which propels players and demolishes barriers instantly as well as the Business Turret which deploys a portable turret – locking onto opponents immediately once they are within range and unleashing a barage of bullets.

The Battle Pass contains a roster of original characters including mastermind Nolan Chance and pizza driver Piper Pace teaming up with Fish Thicc, Mae, and Antonia to pull of their heists. TikTok influencer Khaby Lame has also secured a spot in the Battle Pass this season – his signature hand gesture being replicated for everyone to enjoy although the community is somewhat divided about his inclusion given that his content does not centre around Fortnite in any capacity. Players theorize that Epic Games could be looking to bring that demographic to the game – a logical move – whilst others positively praise the creative decision; Icon Series skins traditionally appear in Item Shop rotations for purchase.

Epic Games has also traveled to a galaxy far, far away with Ahsoka Tano as the secret Battle Pass skin which releases on September 27th, 2023 prior to the season finale of the Disney+ series Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson as the titular character. Players can test their Fortnite skills with Survivor Medals that progress through tougher challenges from Common to Mythic rarity and awards the Prized Llama Back Bling to those that have proven their prowess; unlockable styles according to current level. The fate of the island is at stake and Epic Games is not holding back any punches – thievery is the last resort.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, Amazon Luna, and Android devices with iOS compatibility available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
