Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion Bugha Brings Electric Energy As Latest Icon Series Collaboration

Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf officially arrived in Fortnite as the latest Icon Series collaboration on July 20th, 2021 at 8PM EST with a collection of cosmetics worthy of a World Cup Champion. Bugha was the winner of the 2019 World Cup Solo event which took place on July 28th, 2019 and received the $3 million grand prize after beating out 99 other competitors. Prior to making his grand entrance, players will have an opportunity to compete in Bugha’s Late Game – a competitive Limited-Time Mode (LTM) which is a Trios exclusive Arena Mode where qualifying participants will be eligible to compete in a cash-prize tournament on July 28th, 2021 for a share of the $100,000 grand prize.

Players can add the Bugha Outfit to their Fortnite Locker for 1,500 V-Bucks which comes equipped with two Style Variants including the electrified Bugha Elite that gathers electricity after each elimination and World Champion Bugha which is inspired by his attire from the World Cup. The Zoey Trophy Back Bling is also included with Zoey emerging to celebrate each elimination. Those looking to complete the set can pick up the Bugha Blades for 800 V-Bucks as well as Bugha’s iconic celebratory dance with the Bring It Around Emote for 300 V-Bucks. Epic Games has also released a Bugha Bundle which packages each individual item together at a discounted price of 1,800 V-Bucks with the Winner’s Circle Lobby Track also available for 200 V-Bucks; the sound of triumph!

Bugha’s Late Game will run from July 20th, 2021 through July 28th, 2021 and thrusts players right into the middle of competitive Fortnite action. Players will squad up with their Trio and drop onto the Island immediately as the Storm is already closing in with nine starting inventories that have been grouped into three team loadouts. Each Trio will be randomly assigned one of those loadouts at random which have all been curated by Bugha and Epic Games respectively. Throughout the session, players will earn HYPE that is unique to this particular Arena Mode and those that are able to earn at least 1500 Hype BEFORE July 28th, 2021 will be eligible to compete in the Bugha’s Late Game Tournament.

The Bugha’s Late Game Tournament will take place on July 28th, 2021 across two rounds of gameplay with each round consisting of a two hour time frame and a maximum of ten matches for each of the participating teams. Competition times for each Region including North America (East), North America (West), Brazil, Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Middle East will be displayed under the COMPETE tab within the Fortnite in-game menu at the top of the screen.

In order to participate, players will need to have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on their Epic account and have reached at least Level 30 or above. Players can visit the official Bugha’s Late Game Tournament website for a complete list of rules and regulations.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
