Heroes Will Rise In Fortnite 鬼 Hunters As Chapter 6 Strikes Hard With Japanese Themed Seasonal Story

The Fortnite storyline has transitioned to Reality 783 with Chapter 6 bringing Japanese culture to the forefront of Season 1 – 鬼 Hunters – where demons dwell and mystery fills the air. Players must rise up and drive back the ancient evils that roam the feudal landscape. The cherry blossoms will remain in bloom through February 21st, 2025 at 2AM EST and Godzilla will be rampaging in January as the secret skin; based on his appearance in Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire (2024) with a possible mini event occurring around the same time. The King of the Monsters was shown in proportional Kaiju size with a Monarch branded supply drop visible beside the character in the gameplay trailer background.

鬼 Hunters – New Traversal Mechanics

• Ledge Jump – jump further with a bounce when sprinting off a ledge
• Roll Landing – reduce impending fall damage by jumping right before moment of impact
• Wall Kick – launch yourself off a vertical surface in direction of your choosing
• Wall Scramble – ascend out of reach areas with greater ease

鬼 Hunters – Sprites

Players will encounter Sprites during their adventure – endearing creatures with unique effects:

• Air Sprite – creates an upward wind vortex that allows players to redeploy gliders
• Water Sprite – allows players to temporarily gain or refill Health and Shields
• Earth Sprite – consumes items and exchanges them for a random reward

鬼 Hunters – Boons

Operating in a similar fashion to Medallions – Boons are consumables with unique abilities:

• Fire Boon – reload your weapons faster
• Void Boon – reveal nearby players after eliminating opponents
• Wind Boon – traverse faster when Pickaxe is equipped
• Water Boon – gain Health and Shields when swimming in water

Players will encounter this formidable opponent on the island. During combat, Shogun X can fire projectiles – Fire Oni Mask vibes – and teleport to different locations around the map. Those that defeat him will acquire the Wanderer Medallion which grants infinite stamina and keeps players invisible whilst sprinting. Night Rose also appears on the map and relinquishes the Night Rose Medallion which keeps weapon clips loaded without needing to initiate a reload; does not grant infinite ammo.

鬼 Hunters – Magic Masks

Inspired by Japanese demons, Oni Masks can be worn by players to dispel powerful attacks:

• Fire Oni Mask – launch flame projectiles at opponents; homes in on their location
• Void Oni Mask – teleport and reposition yourself to outwit and outmaneuver opponents

Rounding out the 鬼 Hunters features is Simple Edits which allows players to easily edit their builds in Battle Royale mode with one singular selection; setting not available in Zero Build mode.
