Inkquisitor Emerges From Grim Gables To Headline Penultimate Offerings In 2022 Fortnite Crew Service
No longer confined to the basement of Grim Gables, the Inkquisitor made his Fortnite Crew debut this past November with cosmetics dripping with an inky aesthetic. Epic Games announced the collection on October 27th, 2022 with players gaining access on October 31st, 2022 at 8PM EST. This serves as the first time that a Crew Pack character has found their way into the game prior to being released which could potentially lead to more teases and subtle ways of showcasing upcoming cosmetics to incentivize subscription enrollments and renewals – akin to movie trailers before the feature presentation.
Players received the Inkquisitor Outfit, Inkquisitive Stare Back Bling, Sunken Strikers Pickaxe, and The Hunter’s Moon Loading Screen – illustrated by artist Matias Viro. Compared to cosmetics available in previous Crew Packs, November felt particularly light on overall content given the lack of additional Styles or ways to customize the Inkquisitor himself. And while it might not be for everyone, the Crew Pack has been gaining popularity amongst the general Fortnite community since officially launching two years ago. Epic Games maintains that cosmetics included in Crew Packs will never be rotated through the Item Shop – membership has its privileges – and past offerings have the potential to return.
As with previous Fortnite Crew Packs, the current Battle Pass will be gifted to active subscribers at no additional cost; those that previously purchased the current Battle Pass prior to subscribing will be given a one-time return of 950 V-Bucks which will be applied to qualifying accounts. Membership to the service costs $15.99 CAD per month and players can cancel their subscription at any time with Fortnite Crew benefits remaining effective until the next billing period. Any cosmetics and associated V-Bucks deposits which were obtained during the active subscription period will be kept permanently on eligible accounts regardless of cancellation; V-Bucks will be received on the initial subscription day.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices – iOS compatibility is available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
