Naruto X Fortnite Collaboration Brings The Beloved Anime Characters To The Battle Royale Island

The wait is finally over – Epic Games has brought the beloved characters from Naruto to the world of Fortnite in one of the most anticipated, ambitious, and highly requested crossovers. The series was created by Japanese manga artist Masashi Kishimoto in 1999 with the original graphic novel ending its printed run in 2014 whilst the animated television series wrapped up in 2017 after airing a total of 500 episodes; ten theatrical films were also released. Epic Games officially confirmed the announcement on November 10th, 2021 via the official Fortnite Twitter account but players had long suspected that the crossover was happening after internet leaks spoiled the upcoming collaboration.

Players have the opportunity to squad up with Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake for a limited time with an assortment of Naruto themed cosmetics which will surely put a giant smile on the faces of fans from all around the world. Epic Games has divided each of the Naruto cosmetics into three separate bundles that gives players the opportunity to package their favourite characters together and receive a sizeable V-Bucks discount in the process; players can also purchase their most desired items individually but risk spending more V-Bucks than with a bundle.

The Naruto & Kakashi Bundle includes the Naruto Uzumaki Outfit which comes equipped with the Scroll Back Bling and Seventh Hokage Style as well as the Kakashi Hatake Outfit which includes the Pakkun Back Bling and Black Ops Kakashi & Black Ops Kakashi (with Mask) Styles. The bundle can be purchased for 2,100 V-Bucks and includes the Pizza Eating Jutsu Loading Screen which is exclusive to the Naruto & Kakashi Bundle and features artwork by Studio Pierrot.

The battle continues with the Sasuke & Sakura Bundle which packages the Sasuke Uchiha Outfit with a Rinnegan Style alongside the Demon Wind Shuriken Back Bling and Snake Sword Pickaxe. Players will also receive the Sakura Haruno Outfit which includes the Hidden Leaf Cloak Back Bling and Sakura Uchiha Style for 2,200 V-Bucks. An exclusive cosmetic is also included with the bundle that cannot be acquired individually – the Team 7 Loading Screen – also featuring artwork by Studio Pierrot.

While players that purchase the Naruto & Kakashi Bundle and/or the Sasuke & Sakura Bundle will receive a discount of 900 V-Bucks, Epic Games has made each of the Naruto themed items available to purchase separately which gives players the opportunity to mix and match their favourite characters for the ultimate Battle Royale loadout. The Naruto Uzumaki Outfit and Kakashi Hatake Outfit are both priced at 1,500 V-Bucks while the Sasuke Uchiha Outfit and Sakura Haruno Outfits are priced differently at 1,600 V-Bucks and 1,500 V-Bucks respectively. The 100 V-Bucks price difference is likely the result of the Snake Sword Pickaxe being included with the Sasuke Uchiha Outfit.

Players can channel their inner ninja with the Shinobi Gear Bundle which includes the Summoning Jutsu Emote, Kunai Pickaxe with Kunai (Black) Style, Hidan’s Scythe Pickaxe, Black Ops Sword Pickaxe, and Ramen Break Emote for 1,500 V-Bucks. Each item can be purchased individually for 300 V-Bucks, 500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, 500 V-Bucks, and 300 V-Bucks respectively but a 900 V-Bucks discount will be given to those that purchase the Shinobi Gear Bundle rather than separately. Rounding out the Naruto cosmetics is the Kurama Glider which can be purchased for 1,200 V-Bucks and includes the Shinobi Teamwork Loading Screen with another piece of unique artwork by Studio Pierrot.

Kakashi Hatake has also arrived on the Fortnite Island as an NPC (Non-Player Character) with a Naruto themed Punchcard that allows players to work through the Fort Jutsu Questline which will grant up to 150,000 additional XP upon completion. The Paper Bomb Kunai Mythic weapon can be found in Loot Chests, randomly on the ground, or bought from Kakashi himself which delivers an explosive surprise to unsuspecting opponents; has been proven to be a most formidable weapon in combat.

After the battle has concluded, players are invited to explore Konohagakure which translates to “Hidden Leaf Village” and is the latest Creative Hub that features a Naruto themed aesthetic. Hardcore fans and newcomers can visit iconic locations from the series including the Hokage Residences and Ichiraku that will fully immerse themselves in the beloved world and provide the opportunity to walk in the shoes of a Hidden Leaf resident whilst fulfilling their own personal ninja warrior fantasy.

The Naruto Creative Hub first opened its doors to the Fortnite community on November 16th, 2021 at 10AM EST and will be removed on November 23rd, 2021 at 10AM EST while the Hidden Leaf Village Adventure Map will be available for an additional week, with Epic Games scheduled to remove it on November 29th, 2021 at 10AM EST. Players can play through the entire experience by selecting the “Hidden Leaf Village Adventure” tile via the Discovery tab in-game; created by Vysena Studios.

Epic Games has updated their popular Papercraft files to include Naruto Shippuden Mini Foldables which feature Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi designs. Templates can be downloaded on the official Fortnite Cosplay website with instructions on how to assemble each of the crafts as well as access to the archive for more challenging projects including the Heartbreaker Mask which will take patient and ambitious players approximately 5+ hours to complete.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
