Professional Tennis Champion Naomi Osaka Serves Up Inspirational Spirit With The Fortnite Icon Series
Epic Games has partnered with professional tennis champion Naomi Osaka and brought her over to the Fortnite Island in order to tackle her next career challenge: Battle Royale domination. Alongside a distinguished repertoire of athletic accomplishments, Osaka is also a world renowned activist, fashion designer, and entrepreneur – founding KINLÒ in 2021 which aims to educate and dispel myths around proper sun protection; particularly individuals with melanated skin tones. Osaka originally came to the Item Shop on March 3rd, 2022 and players eager to serve up some competitive throwdowns with their friends will have the opportunity to do so for a limited time; likely to be returning in the future.
The Naomi Osaka Bundle serves up a Grand Slam of value for 2,700 V-Bucks with nine tennis themed items including the Naomi Osaka Outfit and Court Queen Style, Royale Racket Back Bling, and Royale Racket Pickaxe which creates a royal pink trail when players swing it. The bundle also comes packaged with the Serve Stance Emote which features moves by professional Serbian tennis player Stefan Bojic in addition to the Dark Priestess Naomi Outfit with Neon Priestess Style, Portalforger Paddle Back Bling, and the Portalforger Paddle Pickaxe – the latter of which creates a green trail of unknown spirit realms when swung by players. Rounding out the bundle are The Queen’s Cloudcarriage Glider and Cursed Hazeboard Glider and players will receive a discount of 2,000 V-Bucks which is generous as all items total 4,700 V-Bucks at the end of the day; bundles always offer superior deals.
Those looking to coordinate their Fortnite Locker with specific Naomi Osaka inspired cosmetics can purchase the Naomi Osaka Outfit (Royale Racket Pickaxe included) for 2,000 V-Bucks or Dark Priestess Naomi Outfit (Portalforger Paddle Pickaxe included) for 1,600 V-Bucks.
