Scarlet Witch Rendezvous With Doctor Strange On The Fortnite Island With Chaos Magic In Her Grasp
After Doctor Strange was introduced during the Chapter 3 – Season 2 Story Trailer of Fortnite and subsequently revealed to be the Level 100 Skin in the Battle Pass, fans have been wondering whether Epic Games would also be adding Wanda Maximoff into the game. This came as the release date for the highly anticipated film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness conveniently fell within the window of the latest season and also the fact that Wanda is a prominent character within the Marvel sequel – having last appeared in the Disney+ series WandaVision to positive reviews. The waiting soon came to a close on May 5th, 2022 as Sokovian born Wanda Maximoff officially landed in the Item Shop with an appearance and likeness to that of her live action counterpart – played by Elizabeth Olsen.
Players could purchase the Scarlet Witch Bundle from the Item Shop for 1,800 V-Bucks which included the Scarlet Witch Outfit, Wanda’s Cloak Back Bling, Psychic Energy Manipulation Emote, Chaos Hand Axe Pickaxe, and Through The Mirror Dimension Loading Screen. The Outfit and Back Bling featured non-reactive Styles – Scarlet Cloak (Back Bling) and Sorceress (Outfit) – which would not glow and light up with chaos magic when dealing damage to opponents during gameplay. Players could also purchase the Outfit, Pickaxe, and Emote individually for 1,500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 300 V-Bucks respectively whilst receive a discount of 800 V-Bucks with the bundle; Loading Screen was a bundle exclusive.
With the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theatres, Epic Games is likely to add even more characters from the film to Fortnite in the future; inevitable at this point. With Wanda having boarded the Battle Bus, fans are eagerly waiting for Vision – Wanda’s husband – to make his way to the Island; last seen in WandaVision and played by Paul Bettany. There are several more projects releasing over the next few months which will undoubtedly have collaborative elements expertly integrated into Fortnite including Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, She-Hulk, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special – perfect for the annual Winterfest celebration.
