Winterfest Returns To Fortnite With Plenty Of Gifts And A Variety Of Holiday Surprises From Sgt. Winter

The holiday season has arrived in Fortnite once again and Epic Games has brought back a beloved festive celebration – Winterfest – to spread some festive cheer throughout the community and deliver gifts to players all around the world. The event officially began on December 16th, 2021 at 9AM EST and will run through January 6th, 2022 at 9AM EST which will include two weeks of FREE rewards alongside a variety of winter themed Quests, frosty Creative maps, and more! Longtime Fortnite players can build and expand their Locker collection while those who are NEW to the entire experience have the perfect opportunity to begin their very own Battle Royale journey with some fantastic cosmetics.

Crackshot has handed over the keys of his beloved cabin to Sgt. Winter this time around which features a roaring fire and the melodic sounds of holiday tunes playing in the background. There are fourteen presents scattered around the cabin and players can open up one gift each day starting at 12PM EST or wait until the final day and unwrap them all at once. The packages contain a variety of winter themed rewards including two Outfits, two Pickaxes – as well as a Glider, Contrail, Emote, Lobby Track, Loading Screen, Emoticon, Spray, and Banner. Certain gifts can only be opened once all of the surrounding gifts have already been opened; two piles on each side of the cabin. Eagle eyed players may have deduced what surprise is lurking inside of the bag with distinct textures from The Matrix franchise.

While it might be difficult to wait until the very end of the event, Epic Games has generously shared the identities of the aforementioned Outfits which are exclusive to the Winterfest 2021 celebration and can only be obtained under certain conditions. After players have unwrapped all of the gifts on the left side of the room, Krisabelle will become available who is a festive take on the community inspired Isabelle design while Polar Peely will be awarded once he finishes thawing out from the giant block of ice which is located on the right side of the cabin. A secret Outfit is obtainable exclusively for Fortnite players on Windows PC – Blizzabelle – by logging in to the Epic Games Launcher and purchasing it directly from the Epic Games Store through January 6th, 2022 at 11AM EST for no additional charge.

Sgt. Winter will be giving out Winterfest Quests throughout the fourteen day event which will award players with XP to help level up their Battle Pass for Chapter 3 – Season 1 in addition to unlocking some exclusive cosmetics. The Snowmando Board Glider becomes available after completing seven Quests with the Ffrosty Back Bling unlocking after players have completed at least ten of the Quests prior to the upcoming January 6th, 2022 deadline. Those that are currently members of the Fortnite Crew Pack subscription service will receive the Golden Look Board Glider upon logging in for the first time during Winterfest which features a design inspired by a certain genius-slash-espionage expert: Midas.

Epic Games delighted fans on December 5th, 2021 with the inclusion of Spider-Man in the inaugural Battle Pass for Chapter 3 and players can add yet another wall-crawler to their Fortnite Locker with the No Way Home Bundle for 2,300 V-Bucks. The latest Marvel collaboration celebrates the recent release of the highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home in theatres and includes the Spider-Man (No Way Home) Outfit, Spider-Man Icon Back Bling, MJ (No Way Home) Outfit, MJ’s Bookbag Back Bling, as well as the No Way Homerun Hitter Pickaxe. Players have the option of purchasing either the Spider-Man (No Way Home) Outfit and MJ (No Way Home) Outfit separately for 1,500 V-Bucks alongside the No Way Homerun Hitter Pickaxe available for 800 V-Bucks; discount of 1,500 V-Bucks with the bundle.
