Leon S. Kennedy And Claire Redfield Leave Horrors Of Raccoon City In Fortnite X Resident Evil Bundle
Navigating the streets of Raccoon City can be terrifying but Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield are experts in defending themselves. The second collaboration with the Resident Evil series from CAPCOM landed in the Item Shop on March 16th, 2023 under the Gaming Legends banner. The horror franchise originally launched in 1996 on PlayStation and has become a quintessential pillar within the industry and branched off into numerous game sequels, films, and television shows. Remakes of previous titles including Resident Evil 2 (2019), Resident Evil 3 (2020), and Resident Evil 4 (2023) have seen tremendous success in both sales and general reviews, leaving the door open for more potential remakes.
Players could purchase the Raccoon City Survivors Bundle for 2,100 V-Bucks which packaged the Leon S. Kennedy Outfit, Attaché Case Back Bling, Claire Redfield Outfit, R.P.D. Keys Back Bling, Leon’s Combat Knife Pickaxe, and Umbrella Parasol Pickaxe. Those wishing to only procure their favourite character could grab each Outfit individually for 1,500 V-Bucks and each Pickaxe for 500 V-Bucks with Epic Games providing a sizable discount of 1,900 V-Bucks through the bundle. Unfortunately, players could not customize their Leon S. Kennedy Outfit with his signature R.P.D. uniform as it was peculiarly absent from this cosmetic set; iconic Resident Evil 4 bomber jacket was noticeably missing too.
Epic Games has already collaborated with Resident Evil in the past – Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine joined the Gaming Legends back in October 2021 during the annual Halloween themed event known as Fortnitemares. Given the popularity of the franchise, it is likely that players will see more Raccoon City survivors in the future with Rebecca Chambers (Resident Evil Zero), Ada Wong (Resident Evil 4), and villain Albert Wesker undoubtedly residing at the top of the list; nothing has been confirmed.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices – iOS compatibility is available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
