Chris Redfield And Jill Valentine Are Teaming Up For S.T.A.R. Studded Resident Evil Crossover In Fortnite

Cube Monsters and Caretakers have taken over the Fortnite Island and with The Cube Queen floating ominously above The Convergence at the centre of the map, the resistance is going to need some serious help. Having survived unspeakable horrors in the Spencer Mansion and waves of zombie attacks abroad, S.T.A.R.S. operatives Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine now find themselves caught in the middle of a war that is unlike anything else they have faced before and the time has come to fend off the evil as if their lives depend on it – Resident Evil has come to the Fortnite universe.

Epic Games announced on October 23rd, 2021 in a surprise announcement that two of the most beloved characters from the Resident Evil series would be lending their expertise and ammunition to defend the Island against the onslaught of Cube Monster attacks; they escaped one nightmare and have found themselves in another. The “boulder enthusiast” himself – Chris Redfield – alongside the “master of unlocking” herself – Jill Valentine – will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time with plenty of zombie slaying approved gear to ensure victory against the endless cycle of equally hungry Battle Royale contenders. Fortnitemares is about to take terror to a whole NEW level.

The Chris Redfield Outfit includes the Hound Wolf Squad Style which is inspired by his appearance in Resident Evil Village and comes equipped with the Green Herb Back Bling with Red Herb and Blue Herb Styles which can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks. The Jill Valentine Outfit includes the Raccoon City Jill Valentine Style which is inspired by her appearance in Resident Evil 3 and comes equipped with the Saving Keystroke Back Bling that can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks. Both Outfits can also be packaged together via the S.T.A.R.S. Team Bundle which includes the Survival Loading Screen for a discounted price of 2,100 V-Bucks; the Loading Screen is exclusive to the bundle.

Players looking to complete their zombie slaying experience can do so with the S.T.A.R.S. Team Gear Bundle for 1,300 V-Bucks which includes the Hot Dogger Pickaxe, the Stun Rod (standard issue for self defence) Pickaxe, and the Brolly Stroll Emote which sees characters parading around with a miniature Umbrella Corporation parasal. The word “umbrella” is traditionally bad in this universe but Epic Games has hilariously found a way to make sunshine out of rain. Each of the Resident Evil inspired cosmetics can also be purchased separately for 800 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 300 V-Bucks respectively.

Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are the latest additions to the Gaming Legends Series which currently includes Master Chief (Halo), Kratos (God of War), Aloy (Horizon Zero Dawn), Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Cammy (Street Fighter), Chun-Li (Street Fighter), Guile (Street Fighter), Ryu (Street Fighter), and Psycho Bandit (Borderlands) with plenty more additions likely on the horizon; maybe Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2 will join the adventure at some point in the future.
