Dune Crossover Sees Paul Atreides & Chani Travel From Arrakis To Battle The Cube Queen In Fortnite

Inspired by the 2021 cinematic event Dune which hit theatres on October 22nd, 2021 in Canadian markets, Epic Games is bringing Paul Atreides & Chani to Fortnite with a variety of gear capable of taking on The Cube Queen herself. Portrayed by Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name) and Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home) respectively, the film sees Atreides forming his own destiny to ensure the future of his family and his people with Chani – a powerful Fremen warrior – standing strong alongside him. The two heroes have made the treacherous journey from the sand covered planet of Arrakis to take part in the Battle Royale extravaganza for a limited engagement.

This is the latest collaboration that has come to Fortnite and players will be able to add these two warriors to their Lockers with several exclusive bundles featuring plenty of sand covered cosmetic offerings. Players should remain arrhythmic to avoid disturbing the terrifying… Stickworm?! In a brief introductory trailer which included an interview from the actors, Chalamet and Zendaya were excited to officially announce the collaboration with insight into each character and players could see them in action; evidently Chalamet has also been sorted into Slytherin House which is wild!

The Dune Bundle includes the Paul Atreides Outfit and Chani Outfit with Chani’s Satchel and Fremkit Back Blings in addition to The Stickworm Loading Screen for 2,000 V-Bucks; the latter of which is exclusive to the bundle. The Outfits can also be purchased separately for 1,500 V-Bucks each with the Paul Atreides Outfit coming equipped with a Paul Atreides (Masked) Style as well. Players that purchase the bundle will receive a discount of 1,000 V-Bucks as opposed to buying each Outfit on their own.

The war against the Cubes and The Cube Queen is heating up and players will need to properly equip themselves in preparation for the days and weeks ahead. The Dune Gear Bundle contains four Dune inspired cosmetics including the Maker Hooks Pickaxe, Twinblades Pickaxe, Ornithopter Glider, and Sand Walk Emote which can be used to evade the dreaded sandworms. The Dune Gear Bundle can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks and players can also pick and choose their favourite cosmetics individually for 800 V-Bucks, 500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 200 V-Bucks respectively.

The Dune collaboration arrived in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 19th, 2021 prior to the release of the film in theatres and will likely rotate out of the Item Shop sometime within the next week. Players that miss out on the opportunity to purchase any of the Dune inspired cosmetics might have another chance to grab them sometime in the future as has been done with previous collaborations.

Epic Games is currently in the middle of the annual Fortnitemares celebration which is scheduled to conclude on November 2nd, 2021 at 9AM EST with the Chapter 2 – Season 8 storyline wrapping up on December 5th, 2021 just in time for the holidays. A live event has yet to be announced but players will undoubtedly be in for another surprise as the story unfolds even further with plenty of excitement and mystery that defines the mind blowing Fortnite universe.

Players will have the opportunity to return to Gotham City on October 26th, 2021 with the upcoming Batman/Fortnite: Foundation comic book which will continue the story from the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point series with The Batman Who Laughs joining Fortnite as an exclusive reward for players that purchase the physical copy of the limited edition standalone adventure.
