The Dark Knight Collides With The Fortnite Universe In Limited Edition Zero Point Comic Book Series

A crack splits the sky above Gotham City… a tear in reality itself. This rift pulls the Dark Knight into a bizarre and unfamiliar world, with no memory of who he is or where he came from… DC’s Batman has been drawn into Fortnite! As our hero fights to recall his past and escape an endless loop of chaos and struggle, he’ll come face-to-face with the likes of Renegade Raider, Fishstick, Bandolier, and more. While the World’s Greatest Detective strives to make sense of this strange new world, he’ll uncover the shocking truth about the Island, what lies beyond the Loop, and how everything is connected to the mysterious Zero Point.

The highly anticipated crossover event has arrived with Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point Issue #1 releasing on April 20th, 2021 in both physical and digital stores – including DC Universe Infinite – while supplies last. Fans in North America, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and the Czech Republic can purchase the first installment right now with Epic Games announcing plans to release the full series in Japan, Korea, and France later this year. Additional countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America, and Latin America will also have a limited number of printed copies available at local comic stores; subject to availability. Following the release of Issue #1 will be Issue #2 and #3 which will arrive bi-monthly on May 4th, 2021 and May 18th, 2021 with Issues #4 and #5 arriving on June 1st, 2021 and June 15th, 2021 respectively.

The six-part crossover series will officially conclude on July 6th, 2021 with a thrilling finale and Donald Mustard, Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games stated in a Twitter post on April 15th, 2021 that “the story is something we think is awesome, authentic, and real – that stands on its own as a GREAT and important Batman story, but also a GREAT and important part of the ongoing Fortnite story.”

Each printed issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point includes a redeemable code for an exclusive Fortnite cosmetic inspired by the events in the story with Issue #1 unlocking the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit; players that redeem all six codes will also unlock an additional reward: Armored Batman Zero Outfit. Subscribers of DC Universe Infinite (available in the United States) will also receive the download codes for each item as well as gain access to the digital copies of each issue. Those unable to secure a printed copy or live outside of the United States will be able to purchase each cosmetic individually from the Fortnite Item Shop on release day with the exception of the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit which is a timed exclusive for Issue #1 and will be available to purchase in June 2021 for a limited time.

Printed copies of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will be available in both standard – from artist Mikel Janín – and variant covers inked by legendary artists including Arthur Adams, Sabine Rich, Dan Mora, and Amanda Conner. The variant cover for Issue #3 is designed by DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee and features Batman vs. Snake Eyes from the G.I. Joe franchise; eagle-eyed collectors should also be on the lookout for a limited-run premium variant cover of each issue which comes from Mustard himself.

ISSUE #2 Sneak Peek: “Batman is trapped on the Island – he’s unable to speak, his memory is gone, and he has to fight to survive against the deadliest warriors of countless worlds. Can the World’s Greatest Detective escape this trap when time itself resets every 22 minutes? And will the presence of someone else from Gotham City – a familiar feline fatale – help or hinder his efforts… especially when they don’t remember each other? In another life, they were enemies, friends, and partners… but here on the Island, can they do anything but battle to the end?”
