Fortnite Soundwave Series Continues As Australian Singer-Songwriter Tones And I Performs On Stage
The latest installment of the Fortnite Soundwave Series has arrived and Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I will be taking the stage for a limited time engagement. Players will have the opportunity to jump in and experience the performance at any time between January 21st, 2022 at 6PM EST through January 24th, 2022 at 6PM EST via the Soundwave Series: Tones And I tile. This interactive event was created by several Fortnite community members – Team Alliance and TheBoyDilly – and features a musical journey through a madhouse. The show was inspired by several songs from her latest album called “Welcome to the Madhouse” which released on July 16th, 2021 with fourteen tracks.
The Fortnite Soundwave Series kicked off on October 1st, 2021 with Egyptian superstar Mohamed Hamaki taking the stage and will continue with three more performances featuring musical artists from all around the world including Brazilian rapper Emicida, Japanese pop artist and music producer Gen Hoshino, and record breaking French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura in the near future. Players who are interested in catching the performance will have plenty of time to do so as the experience will repeat non-stop for 72 hours with the entire duration running around 20 minutes.
Players that attend the performance will take home the Soundwave Series – Tones And I Spray as an exclusive memento following their first playthrough and unlock some additional XP to help level up the Battle Pass following the conclusion of their second playthrough. Those looking to enjoy the show while competing for another Victory Royale can watch it by activating Picture-in-Picture either in Battle Royale or Creative playlists; accessible through the settings menu. The interactive elements which are utilized in this experience will unfortunately not be playable through this feature; dedicated playlist only.
Epic Games would like to convey that the Soundwave Series: Tones And I experience features several sequences with flashing lights and urges those with a history of photosensitivity to consult with their doctor(s) prior to attending the event. For their own health and safety, Epic Games is also advising that anyone who begins to experience any form of discomfort – to exit the show immediately for their own personal safety. The Fortnite Item Shop included two additional ways for players to celebrate the latest entry of the Soundwave Series with the Cloudy Day Lobby Track and Dance Monkey Emote which could be purchased for 200 V-Bucks and 300 V-Bucks respectfully; currently rotated out.
Content creators that are currently enrolled in the Epic Games Support-A-Creator program will be allowed to host VOD (Video On Demand) clips from the Soundwave Series: Tones And I experience on their YouTube channels and monetize them without any penalties. Monetization on videos will be active for seven days and players should not receive any sort of takedown notifications for any related content afterwards; videos should be uploaded as Unlisted or Public to avoid any claims or issues.
Twitch streamers are welcome to broadcast the experience to their online communities but Epic Games is unable to prevent VOD clips from being flagged by third party copyright detection software or systems. These setting should be disabled prior to attending the event to avoid any sort of issues moving forward which could result in the loss of privileges or a channel ban. Platform guidelines should always be consulted and followed prior to uploading content to avoid getting a copyright strike.
