Fortnite Soundwave Series Kicks Off Their Musical Shows With Egyptian Superstar Mohamed Hamaki
Epic Games is preparing for a soundwave extravaganza with the Fortnite Soundwave Series which is a musical celebration featuring artists from around the world. The event begins on October 1st, 2021 with Egyptian superstar Mohamed Hamaki taking the stage at 2PM EST to perform his latest song called “Leilt Elomr” in a custom playlist which will play for 48 consecutive hours. Players will not need to worry if they miss the initial performance as they will have the opportunity to attend the show at whatever time is best for them; squad up to view it with friends and family too!
The Hamaki’s Musical Show experience will conclude on October 3rd, 2021 at 2PM EST and players who attend the show over the weekend will receive the Soundwave Series – Hamaki Spray as a memento; reward will be exclusive to the event. Those looking to play some Battle Royale and watch the show at the same time can do so via the Picture-in-Picture feature during certain times of the event which is accessible in the options menu of the settings in-game. The special environment for Hamaki’s Musical Show was designed by Fortnite community creators Team Alliance and TheBoyDilly.
Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I, Brazilian rapper Emicida, Japanese pop artist and music producer Gen Hoshino, and record breaking French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura will also be participating in the Soundwave Series with their own unique performances happening in the coming months; Epic Games will have more information on these shows in the coming weeks. Players will likely get rewarded for attending these events with an exclusive cosmetic in a similar fashion as the Hamaki’s Musical Show experience with the same limited time format being followed.
In honour of the Soundwave Series and Hamaki’s upcoming musical performance, Epic Games is releasing the Leilt Elomr Emote for players to enjoy both during and after the show which will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop on September 30th, 2021 at 8PM EST. Hamaki’s Musical Show will feature sequences with flashing lights and those with a history of photosensitivity should consult with their doctor(s) prior to attending the event. For their own health and safety, Epic Games is advising that anyone who begins to experience any discomfort, should exit the show immediately.
Content creators in the Epic Games Support-A-Creator program will be allowed to host VOD (Video On Demand) clips from the Hamaki’s Musical Show experience on YouTube and monetize it without any penalties. Monetization on videos will be active for seven days and players should not receive any sort of takedown notifications for any related content afterwards. Platform guidelines should always be consulted and followed prior to uploading content to avoid getting a copyright strike.
Twitch streamers are welcome to broadcast the experience to their online communities but Epic Games is unable to prevent VOD clips from being flagged by third party copyright detection software or systems. These setting should be disabled prior to attending the event to avoid any sort of issues moving forward which could result in the loss of privileges or a channel ban.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
