Horizon Zero Dawn Will Join The Prehistoric World Of Fortnite Primal Later This Week
Epic Games and Guerrilla are partnering up to bring one of the most fitting video game characters to Fortnite which has been thrust into a prehistoric age as a result of the Zero Crisis Finale which concluded on March 16th, 2021 with a Primal Biome spreading throughout the Island and a mysterious Spire structure situated right in the middle of it. Having honed her skills in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited and ruled by machines, Aloy is ready to conquer the world of Fortnite and players will be able to add her to their roster later this week along with a host of additional cosmetics in the latest Gaming Legends Series bundle.
Beginning on April 15th, 2021 for a limited time, Horizon Zero Dawn items will be available to purchase from the Fortnite Item Shop both separately as well as packaged together at a discount. These items will include: Aloy Outfit, Blaze Canister Back Bling, Aloy’s Spear Pickaxe, Glinthawk Glider, Shield-Weaver Wrap, Heart-rizon Emote, and the Aloy the Skywatcher Loading Screen which will only be available in the bundle. Players on PlayStation 5 can unlock an additional Style variant for the Aloy Outfit – Ice Hunter – by simply playing Fortnite on their PlayStation 5 console; similar to the Armored Kratos Style which was released alongside Kratos on December 3rd, 2020 and kicked off the Gaming Legends Series category.
Players will have the opportunity to unlock the Horizon Zero Dawn bundle early by competing in the Aloy Cup on April 14th, 2021 which is exclusive to PlayStation 5 consoles; top performing teams in each region will be awarded the bundle before it hits the Item Shop on April 15th, 2021 for purchase. The Aloy Cup will be a Duos competition and rewards for precision and mastery of the Bow – which was added at the beginning of Fortnite Primal – with extra points awarded to players for eliminating opponents with that particular weapon.
Epic Games will also be adding a NEW Limited Time Mode (LTM) called Team Up! Aloy & Lara to Fortnite for a limited time beginning on April 16th, 2021 at 9AM EST and concluding on April 18th, 2021 at 9AM EST. This latest LTM will feature Duos gameplay with each player being outfitted as either Aloy or Lara Croft in a loot-locked battle with only two weapons – Craftable Bow (Aloy) and Dual Pistols (Lara Croft) – available throughout the match. Players should keep an eye out for wildlife including Raptors and master their crafting abilities to upgrade weapons and dominate their opponents for the ultimate Primal Victory Royale.
