Batman/Fortnite: Foundation Limited Edition Comic Will Continue The Zero Point Story In Gotham City

After The Foundation was seen plummeting into the water during the opening cinematic for the Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 storyline, players have long been wondering if they would ever see or hear from the mysterious character again. Confirmed and identified as the leader of The Seven after first appearing in the Chapter 2 – Season 5 Zero Crisis Finale live event, The Foundation has quickly become a fan-favourite character and players will soon be able to learn more information about him and what happened in the time since that fateful day through an exclusive one-shot story.

Epic Games announced on October 15th, 2021 that The Foundation did not land near the Fortnite Island but rather in Gotham Harbor where he has detected an energy signature that matches that of the Zero Point and has taken it upon himself to investigate. The limited edition crossover comic titled Batman/Fortnite: Foundation will be a standalone adventure that continues the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point mini series which saw Batman involuntarily transported to the Fortnite universe without his memory or the ability to speak. The Dark Knight had to put his detective skills to the test while figuring out how to return to Gotham City and uncovered some phenomenal and mind blowing secrets.

The Batman/Fortnite: Foundation comic will arrive in stores on October 26th, 2021 as physical media with three unique covers featuring artwork by Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, and Matt Hollingsworth including two variant covers with artwork by Alex Garner and Donald Mustard himself. The limited edition comic will launch in North America, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil with availability within those regions subject to change. A limited number of comic books will also be available in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America, and Latin America. Players are advised to consult with their local comic book retailer for stock and purchasing information.

Similar to the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comics, Batman/Fortnite: Foundation will include a special redemption code for three exclusive DC Comics cosmetics inspired by the events of the story including The Batman Who Laughs Outfit, Robin’s Perch Back Bling, and Dark Days Loading Screen. Those not looking to pick up the comic but are still interested in purchasing the items will have the opportunity to do so when they arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 25th, 2021 at 8PM EST.

The Batman Who Laughs Outfit will be available to purchase for 1,500 V-Bucks which will include the Robin’s Perch Back Bling. Players will be able to complete the set with the Death Metal Scythe Pickaxe for 800 V-Bucks and Wings Of Madness Glider for 800 V-Bucks with the Dark Days Loading Screen being an exclusive item to the Batman/Fortnite: Foundation comic; not available to be purchased separately. The Fortnite Item Shop will also feature The Batman Who Laughs Bundle which packages all four items from the Dark Multiverse Set together at a discounted price of 2,200 V-Bucks.

Redemption Codes can be redeemed online until November 12th, 2025 at which point they will no longer be valid; items could potentially return to the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date.
