Fortnite MEGA Introduces A Cyberpunk Metropolis With Neon Drifting Rails And Japanese Architecture

A towering cyberpunk inspired metropolis has been constructed on the Fortnite island with grind rails and drift vehicles populating the area – surrounded by a tranquil Japanese biome. Epic Games released the MEGA update on March 10th, 2023 with a cinematic trailer that showcased the exact breadth and scale of Mega City in all its glory whilst confirming that Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan was the secret skin for the season. The original end date for Chapter 4 – Season 2 was June 2nd, 2023 however it has since been pushed back to June 9th, 2023 for unknown reasons. Epic Games has changed release dates multiple times in the past and usually stems from additional polish required prior to rollout.

Players can explore Mega City with two futuristic vehicles – Rogue Bike and Nitro Drifter – which are both equipped with sharp turning mechanics and offer high acceleration boosts; vehicular attachments have been vaulted this season despite standard cars and trucks being present on the island. Weapons similarly received a cybernetic upgrade through the Kinetic Blade – giving players an opportunity to perform a Knockback Slash or devastating Dash Attack for extra damage. Players can head towards the southeastern portion of the island and take in the sights of Cherry Blossom trees that have been placed throughout the region alongside beautiful Japanese architecture. Kenjutsu Crossing features a temple with training grounds and sand gardens – inspired by the layout of Shinto shrines.

The Battle Pass boasts an impressive assortment of original characters with no collaborative offerings this time around – except for Eren Yeager as previously mentioned. Some of the Outfits featured might look familiar to players, particularly those that have participated in feedback surveys from Epic Games as they are in fact the same ones including Thunder and Renzo the Destroyer respectively. Players can also unlock Quest Rewards by completing story driven Syndicate challenges which will be available throughout the duration of the season; leveling up is not required to earn them.
