Adonis Creed Makes Heavyweight Debut In Fortnite To Celebrate Theatrical Release Of Third Creed Film

Stepping into the Fortnite ring for the first time, Adonis Creed packed quite a punch with Epic Games celebrating the theatrical release of Creed III – third installment in the critically acclaimed spin-off of the Rocky franchise. The boxing sequel features Michael B. Jordan reprising his role as the titular character alongside Jonathan Majors (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania) respectively. Adonis Creed landed in the Item Shop on March 2nd, 2023 at 7PM EST as the Oathbound storyline of Chapter 4 – Season 1 was drawing to a close which introduced breathtaking visual enhancements and game changing mechanics including Reality Augments and Hurdling – fundamentally changing the Fortnite experience.

Players could purchase the Creed Bundle for 2,000 V-Bucks which featured the Adonis Creed Outfit with Bionic Creed Styles, Heavy Bag Back Bling, Knockout Pick Pickaxe with Orange Style, and Target Training Emote. Individually, the Outfit was priced at 1,800 V-Bucks while the Pickaxe and Emote were available for 800 V-Bucks and 300 V-Bucks; a modest discount of 900 V-Bucks was provided to those who purchased the entire bundle. Epic Games gave players an opportunity to unlock an exclusive item during release week – Creed’s Gloves Spray – by completing Creed Quests alongside the tournament bound CREED Brand Spray with eligible players required to earn at least eight points.

Michael B. Jordan makes his directorial debut with Creed III which has since become the sixth highest grossing films of 2023 with over $271 million worldwide. It is the ninth overall film in the franchise with Jordan confirming to IGN that Creed IV is happening “for sure” and that he plans to expand the aptly named Creed-verse within reason. Ivan Drago has already appeared in the series with Dolph Lundgren reprising his iconic role from Rocky IV (1985) with has fans wondering if Clubber Lang will subsequently appear in a future sequel; he was portrayed by Mr. T in Rocky III (1982) and has yet to return.
