When trouble erupts on the Fortnite island, Epic Games knows who to call – the Teen Titans – and did just that as Starfire (Princess Koriand’r) soared her way into the game. Princess Koriand’r first arrived in the Item Shop on September 1st, 2022 and joins fellow members Beast Boy (Garfield Logan) and Raven (Rachel Roth) – the latter appearing exclusively in a Battle Pass – with Robin and Cyborg left on the roster; no confirmation that either will make it into the game. And while Starfire has been currently rotated out of the Item Shop at this point in time, Epic Games frequently adds DC Comics items back into circulation for a limited time including those featured in the Zero Point comic book series.
Players could purchase the Starfire Bundle for 1,800 V-Bucks which included the Starfire Outfit with optional Solar Hair Style, Syl’khee Back Bling, Starbolt Pickaxe, Starfire’s Flourish Emote, and Starfire Flies Loading Screen which was exclusive to the bundle. Those looking to procure individual cosmetics could grab the Outfit, Pickaxe, and Emote for 1,500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 300 V-Bucks respectively with Epic Games offering up a discount of 800 V-Bucks through the entire bundle. While some Emotes have been Built-In – meaning that they only work with a particular character – any existing character can utilize and express themselves with Starfire’s Flourish Emote; even Peely and Fishstick.
The Teen Titans have been the subject of several film and television outings – most recently being the animated feature film Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018) as well as the live-action series Titans which includes Robin, Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire. Notably missing is Cyborg whom plays a prominent role on Doom Patrol which remains separate and contained within its own respected universe. Epic Games could possibly collaborate with DC Comics again in the near future to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated film Black Adam – starring Dwayne Johnson – but Warner Bros. is adding the character to Multiversus around the same time and might refrain from double duty as a result.
