Become A Fortnite Basketball Superstar Inside The Jumpman Zone And Pull Off MVP Worthy Trickshots
Epic Games is continuing their collaborative partnership with the Jordan Brand of athletic footwear by giving players the opportunity to become their own basketball superstar and unlock exclusive rewards after pulling off a series of MVP worthy trickshots. The latest celebration also includes the arrival of one of the most iconic Jordan sneakers on the planet – Air Jordan XI Cool Grey – and players can acquire them from the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time and be the envy of their friends and opponents both on and off the Battle Bus. The Fortnite X Jordan collaboration kicked off on December 1st, 2021 at 7PM EST with the introduction of the Jumpman Zone which was created by two professional Fortnite Creative builders – Enigma and Dummblond – from Paradox Buildcreators whom have previously been featured numerous times in the past with their unique and creative maps.
Players can begin their basketball journey by competing in a scavenger hunt for Air Jordan XI Cool Grey sneakers across six familiar Fortnite Creative experiences which have since been overhauled to include an integration with the Jordan crossover. Once gameplay requirements have been fulfilled, the doors will open to three MVP Rooms which feature four increasingly difficult Trickshot Challenges that will test the skills, patience, and determination of worthy competitors. Those whom are skilled enough to complete all twelve challenges before December 4th, 2021 at 2PM EST will earn an exclusive cosmetic reward – Deep In the Paint Spray – as their prize; not available to purchase.
Each of the three MVP Rooms contains a different Jordan experience for players to explore and enjoy in addition to the four Trickshot Challenges which can be completed in any order. The museum contains a large 360° structure with Jordan logos and sneaker displays for players to hang out with their friends whilst waiting for their next move; it is also the first room that will become available once enough sneakers have been collected. There is a large basketball court located within the second MVP Room with a basketball ready to be dribbled and tossed around for those that require a little more practice before continuing with their Trickshot Challenges and an immersive Air Jordan XI “Cool Grey” looping video takes up the third and final MVP Room location; be sure to snap some pictures!
The Air Jordan XI Cool Grey originally launched back in 2001 and is widely known for its unexpected appearance and far reaching influence to those on and off the court. Epic Games is honouring that legacy with the Cool Grey Bundle which can be purchased directly from the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,800 V-Bucks and will only be available for a limited time. The bundle contains the Hangtime Outfit which comes equipped with the Playmaker & MVP Styles alongside the Swish Outfit which includes the Crossover & Downtown Styles. Players will need to complete ten Trickshot Challenges in order to unlock all of the extra Style options and Epic Games has stated that they will not expire.
Players will be able to complete their Fortnite basketball loadouts with the Cool Grey Back Bling which is included in the Cool Grey Bundle and the swishtastic Dunk On ‘Em Emote which can be purchased for 400 V-Bucks that would undoubtedly make Michael Jordan proud! The Jumpman Zone returned on December 5th, 2021 as Epic Games launched Chapter 3 of Fortnite earlier than expected after a brief period of downtime which was a result of “The End” Finale Event. Players can return to the Jumpman Zone and finish their challenges by inputting 5519-3138-2454 into Fortnite Creative.
