Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson And Spider-Man Take Charge As Fortnite Chapter 3 Battle Pass Rewards

Epic Games is hitting the ground running with Fortnite Chapter 3 to deliver a Season 1 Battle Pass that will surely delight ventran and beginner players alike as it features a healthy mix of original character designs and a few heavy hitters to mix things up. As with previous Seasons of Fortnite which remains the same, players can purchase the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks and it offers the opportunity to unlock exclusive Outfits, Back Bling, Gliders, Contrails, and more that will not be available to purchase from the Item Shop or given out as FREE rewards through future events. The Battle Pass for Season 1 will be around until March 19th, 2022 at which point Season 2 of Chapter 3 will takeover and any unclaimed rewards will be lost forever, unless Epic Games decides to go ahead and offer them up again through the Fortnite Crew Pack subscription but that is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Leading the charge into Chapter 3 is Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as his Fortnite alter ego – The Foundation – who has become an integral part of the overall storyline. He was initially introduced back in Season 5 of Chapter 2 during the Zero Crisis Finale where he promptly assisted his own personal frenemy – Agent Jones – in preventing the Zero Point from collapsing. Players can expect to begin unlocking his respected cosmetics and rewards around February 3rd, 2022 as indicated by the countdown timer within the Battle Pass menu in-game. Once again, Battle Stars are returning to which players can collect and redeem for rewards within the Battle Pass as well as unique Bonus Rewards that become available once players have surpassed Level 100 and unlocked everything else.

Epic Games is also bringing one of the most anticipated and highly requested collaborations to Fortnite to celebrate Chapter 3 in the form of your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man alongside a marvelous array of webtastic cosmetics. Those that manage to earn enough Battle Stars will have the opportunity to unlock the Spider-Man (Symbiote Suit) Outfit, Neighborly Hang Emote, and the It’s… You? Emote which is inspired by an episode from the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon (“Double Identity”) in which a villain is attempting to impersonate the titular superhero and encounters him whilst out committing all kinds of mischief. A Mythic weapon is also available in Chapter 3 which grants players the ability to use Spider-Man’s own web swinging abilities to quickly navigate and traverse the Island.

Earning XP on the Fortnite Island has been overhauled for Chapter 3 with Quests no longer initiated through conversations and interactions from NPC characters during a match. Instead, Quests will now automatically show up within the Quests Page in the Lobby to which players can analyze each unique task and understand exactly what they need to accomplish prior to boarding the Battle Bus with three types available over the course of the Season. Daily Quests refresh every single day at 9AM EST and can also be shared amongst party members, Season Quests (storyline related) update on Thursdays at 9AM EST, with Milestone Quests readily available from the start – progress over multiple stages.

Players will also be able to earn XP outside of the standard (or fan favourite) Battle Royale Mode with Epic Games providing an alternative option to level up through reaching Accolades in Creative Mode as well as by playing the Save the World co-operative campaign. The rationale behind this updated method of earning XP is to give players the freedom to play Fortnite in whatever manner they see fit and allow everyone to have the same fighting chance to unlock all of the available Battle Pass rewards without needing to worry about grinding through Battle Royale – especially for those who might not enjoy that form of gameplay. Everyone can unlock Spider-Man and swing towards fun!
