Epic Games Celebrates 75th Anniversary Season Of NBA With Special Fortnite Creative Hub Experience
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has returned to Fortnite and Epic Games is celebrating the monumental 75th anniversary season with a special NBA 75 All-Star Hub which players can experience for themselves – and practice their skills – in Creative mode. Players can jump in and check things out with their friends at any time before February 23rd, 2022 at 10AM EST and explore all of the amenities including an indoor and outdoor basketball court, photo booths, lounging areas, and more! The outside area is collectively known as “NBA Lane” and is a direct nod to the NBA and their season-long campaign to celebrate the 75th milestone; designed by Atlas Creative – Fortnite creator team.
Players can commemorate the occasion with the NBA 75 Warm-Up Bundle and NBA 75 Pre-Game Bundle which are available in the Item Shop for 2,000 V-Bucks each and contains 5 Female Outfits and 5 Male Outfits respectively. Those wising to purchase select Outfits on their own, rather than an entire bundle, can easily do so as each Outfit is priced at 800 V-Bucks but players will receive a 2,000 V-Bucks discount if they choose either packaged bundle. All Outfits including the NBA High-Flyer Outfit, NBA 75 Swish Outfit, NBA 75 Clutch Outfit, NBA 75 Flex Outfit, NBA 75 Slam Outfit, NBA 75 Baller Outfit, NBA 75 Dunk Outfit, NBA 75 Flash Outfit, NBA 75 Fit Outfit, and NBA 75 Shot-Caller Outfit come equipped with a Red Style, Grey Style, and White Style – featuring the diamond NBA 75th logo.
Basketball fans also have the opportunity to showcase and support their favourite NBA teams with the NBA Beacon Back Bling which is available for an additional 400 V-Bucks and includes immediate access to all 30 professional teams including the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings. Epic Games added two more Styles to each of the In The Paint Outfits – All-Star ‘22 Red and All-Star ‘22 Gray – which have been automatically added to the Lockers of those whom have already purchased them and will now be offered as part of the collection. It is currently unknown if these special Styles will remain available next time they rotate back into the Item Shop again or if they will be limited to the 75th anniversary.
