Experiment Turned Hero X-23 Joins Chrome Battle With Adamantium Prowess Ready At Her Fingertips
The Marvel universe continues to grow in Fortnite with Laura Kinney (X-23) having recently been brought into the Battle Royale game. Epic Games made the announcement on October 8th, 2022 with players able to grab the entire bundle that same day for a limited time. The X-Men are no stranger to the Fortnite island as popular characters including Anna Marie, Remy LeBeau, and Jean Grey at one point have rotated through the Item Shop with Wolverine making multiple appearances. The likelihood of seeing more mutants is quite strong with the partnership between Epic Games and Marvel Comics paving the way for new levels of storytelling and expanding the Omniverse like never before.
Players were able to purchase the X-23 Bundle from the Item Shop for 1,900 V-Bucks which packaged together the X-23 Outfit (Mask Off Style included), Clone Pod Back Bling, X-23’s Adamantium Claws Pickaxe, and X Insignia Wrap. Cosmetics inspired by the infamous Weapon X Program were able to be procured separately – 1,500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 500 V-Bucks – with Epic Games offering players a modest discount of 900 V-Bucks for the entire bundle; 2,800 V-Bucks alternatively. Laura Kinney was rotated out of the Item Shop on October 15th, 2022 but will likely make a return alongside a cavalcade of beloved superheroes and fan-favourite supervillains at some point in the near future.

Laura Kinney was portrayed by Dafne Keen in the 2017 film Logan which served as the definitive swan song for Hugh Jackman whom had portrayed the titular character throughout nine X-Men feature films including the subsequent Wolverine spin-offs. And in a surprising announcement that nearly broke the internet, Ryan Reynolds revealed on September 27th, 2022 that Jackman would be reprising his iconic role alongside him in the third and presumably final entry in the Deadpool franchise.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices – iOS compatibility is available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
