Fortnite Best Friendzy Event Invites Players To Squad Up With Their Friends To Unlock Rewards
While dominating the Fortnite competition in Solo matches is a lot of fun, Epic Games is giving players the opportunity to squad up with their friends and work together to unlock some exclusive rewards during the Fortnite Best Friendzy event which began on August 31st, 2021 and will conclude on September 12th, 2021 at 4PM EST. Participants can get started by visiting the official Best Friendzy website which allows players to track their progress and schedule Daily Bonus times with their friends to earn extra points and unlock cosmetic rewards even faster; can only be changed once.
Point Progression in Fornite Best Friendzy is based on the total amount of time spent playing Fortnite with friends in Duos, Trios, and Squads modes; Solo matches are ineligible. Players will earn points for every match that they play with their friends and the breakdown is as follows:
- Every 10 Minutes Played Together In Battle Royale – 1 Point
- Every 10 Minutes Played Together In Creative – 1 Point (maximum of 6 Points/Day)
- Daily Bonus – 3x Points for matches played together (Battle Royale & Creative)
Friends of participants are not required to register for the Best Friendzy event but Epic Games recommends that everyone registers in order to track their progress should they decide to participate with their friends at a later time. Players should expect a 30 minute delay before points are updated and their progression status is reflected on the website. And while players can participate with multiple friends, they will need to select a single partner in order to unlock all of the cosmetic rewards; points are not cumulative and must be procured with their own personal best friend…zy.
There are a total of four exclusive rewards for players to unlock including the Outer Space Handshake Emoticon, Invasion Remix Lobby Track, Life’s A Beach Wrap, and Aquari-Axe Pickaxe which will be awarded after earning 3 Points, 10 Points, 20 Points, and 50 Points respectively.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
