Fortnite Mobile Returns To iOS Devices In European Union; Eligible Players Can Unlock Katalina Rewards
Mobile players rejoice – Fortnite has returned to iOS devices… in the European Union which includes Ireland, France, and Italy at the present moment. Apple initially banned Epic Games from the App Store in August 2020 following a payment dispute which lead to an exhaustive legal battle that manifested from Epic Games protesting the 30% commission that Apple collected from purchases. Epic Games had attempted to circumvent this policy but things would only get worse as the official developer account was removed with iOS players unable to enjoy any further updates; four years of content.

Epic Games
Players were perpetually stuck in Chapter 2 – Season 3 for several years but Epic Games has since discontinued that version of Fortnite on mobile device and is now no longer playable. There is currently three alternate iOS options including Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna with the latter platform requiring an additional membership. Epic Games will continue to work towards getting Fortnite and their latest Epic Games Store application onto iOS devices worldwide.
Fortnite Mobile App Quests
- Earn 25,000 XP on Android (worldwide) or iOS (European Uion) – Tactical Kat Wrap
- Earn 50,000 XP on Android (worldwide) or iOS (European Uion) – Kat Claws Pickaxe
- Earn 75,000 XP on Android (worldwide) or iOS (European Uion) – Katalina’s Kit Bag Back Bling
- Earn 100,000 XP on Android (worldwide) or iOS (European Uion) – Katalina Outfit
Players outside the EU or those unable to access an Android device will have another opportunity to acquire these items when they rotate through the Item Shop at a later date; a few months of exclusivity is the norm. Epic Games has not provided an exact window as of the publishing of this article.
Fortnite is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Amazon Luna, and Android devices with iOS compatibility available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
