The battle for the Grid has come to Fortnite in the latest Item Shop update which features Outfits, Gliders, Back Bing, and Pickaxes downloaded straight from the vast digital frontier. Grab your Light Suit and ride your Light Cycle to the end of the line and Battle Royale victory with the TRON End of Line Set which is available for a limited time. Be sure to pack your Identity Disc – never leave your operating system without it.
The TRON End of Line Set offers players the opportunity to select from 10 different Outfits including: Packet, Firewall, Proxy, Datapath, and Cypher which are the male Outfits and Commandline, Bitstream, Upload, Io, and Bandwidth which are the female Outfits. Each are bundled with an Identity Disc Back Bling as well as an Identity Disc Pickaxe for 1,500 V-Bucks; Outfit variants are also included with options to add or remove the helmet. Additionally, players can purchase a Light Cycle Glider separately for 800 V-Bucks and is a best friend for any Grid warrior.
Agent Jones recorded his latest Reality Log on February 10th, 2021 with the identifying number MCP-82 which is a direct reference to the Master Control Program who is the antagonist from the Disney film TRON which was released back in 1982 which explains the 82 at the end of the sequence. The target description also states that the targets in question fight for the user – users are humans that operate a computer in the real world – and as TRON is set within a computer program, digital avatars are those whom the user controls and competes on their behalf.
The specialty collection is inspired by the Disney film TRON: Legacy which was released back in 2010 to somewhat mixed reviews. And while the future of the franchise might be up in the air at the moment, fans can demonstrate their Grid warrior skills on the Island as they embark on a new journey with the fate of the Zero Point hanging in the balance.
