Quacktastic Fun Arrives With Plenty Of Eggcellent Goodies In The Spring Breakout Event
When robotic ducks and pastel-suited bunnies begin running around with Raptors, Wolves, and Flying Chickens in tow, it must mean that Springtime has arrived in Fortnite and with it comes yet another eggcellent adventure for players to seek out and celebrate the festive season. The Spring Breakout event began on March 30th, 2021 and will likely run through April 7th, 2021 and brings a NEW wave of Easter themed cosmetics to the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time including the Nitehare Outfit, Chocolatey Wrap, Quackhammer Pickaxe, Bunny Hop Emote and more!
While exploring the Island in search of another Battle Royale victory, players might encounter Webster – surrender your breadcrumbs – who will offer up a Legendary Quest to tackle throughout the weeklong event and awards the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe for FREE after completing the first round in his Legendary Quest; he has big things planned and it requires a lot of eggs! What sort of eggs is Webster looking for exactly? Players will notice that dozens of colourful Easter Eggs called Bouncy Eggs can be found scattered throughout the Island and gives the player a low gravity movement effect for a limited time upon consumption. Collecting 10 Bouncy Eggs will be enough to unlock the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe with additional XP awarded to players after collecting up to 50 Bouncy Eggs.
The Egg Launcher also makes its Eggsplosive return to Fortnite for a limited time and packs an Easter-sized punch to anyone brave enough to stand in its way – or get caught in the middle of a firefight between opposing squads. Players looking to take their Spring Breakout shenanigans into the real world can do so with specially designed Papercraft masks and Mini Foldables that feature characters including: Stella, Rabbit Raider, Webster, Bun Bun, Nitehare, and Cluck. Each project comes with detailed folding instructions and can take anywhere between 60 minutes to 2.5 hours to complete, depending on the project.
Additionally, the Spring Breakout event marks the return of a few fan-favourite Outfits including Bunny Brawler, Rabbit Raider, and Quackling which can be purchased from the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time for 1,500 V-Bucks and 800 V-Bucks respectively. Players should act fast and hop into action because these Outfits will be retiring for another season at the conclusion of the event.
