Llama-Rama Crossover Event Returns With Exclusive Rewards For Fortnite And Rocket League

WIth Season 2 of Rocket League preparing to cross the finish line on April 7th, 2021 and Season 3 being marketed as the most high octane season yet, Epic Games is celebrating the final lap with the return of Llama-Rama which brings together two of their most popular titles – Fortnite & Rocket League – in a crossover extravaganza. The festivities kicked off on March 25th, 2021 and will continue through April 9th, 2021 at 4PM EST and features a series of challenges that must be completed within Rocket League that will unlock exclusive rewards for participants to enjoy in both Rocket League & Fortnite respectively.

The challenges themselves are not too difficult which means that most players should be able to easily unlock each reward before the conclusion of the Llama-Rama event. For starters, Challenge 1: Beyonder requires players to play three online matches and unlocks the Battle Ball Spray for Fortnite players as well as the Topper – DJ Yonder for Rocket League players. Challenge 2: More Llama Bell and Challenge 3: Over Yonder can unequivocally be coupled with the previous challenge as they require players to get 500 total points in online matches as well as get five goals, assists, or saves in online matches.

These two challenges will collectively unlock the Llama-Rama Loading Screen and Everybody Dace! Lobby Track in Fortnite and the Player Anthem – Llama Bell and Octane Decal – DJ Yonder rewards in Rocket League with Challenge 5: Extra Ordinary rewarding players with the Turbo Ball! Back Bling in Fortnite and the Player Title – Extra Ordinary being rewarded to Rocket League players. The sixth and final one – Challenge 6: Winning is Everything – is exclusive to Rocket League and requires players to win 10 online matches with 20,000 XP awarded upon completion. The Rocket League challenges will wrap up at the conclusion of the Llama-Rama event on April 9th, 2021 at 4PM EST meaning that players will have a limited amount of time to complete them and unlock all of their rewards.

In order to kick start Llama-Rama in style, Epic Games partnered with Monstercat – a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia – to bring Grammy-nominated artist Kaskade to Fortnite in a special concert event held at the Main Stage in Party Royale mode. The musical event took place from March 26th, 2021 and concluded on March 27th, 2021 at 2PM EST and allowed players and fans alike to see the acclaimed DJ and Producer himself perform his brand NEW Reset EP and more! Afterwards, an exclusive first look at the Rocket League Season 3 trailer was shown to all attendees.

Rounding out the Llama-Rama festivities was the release of the Lil’ Octane Emote in the Fortnite Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks which is part of the Gaming Legends Series of cosmetics. The Lil’ Octane Emote is traversable, meaning that players can freely move around while using it, and sees the Battle Royale characters riding on top of a custom Battle Car with a controller in their hand. Players were able to purchase the Rocket League themed cosmetic for a limited time during the Kaskade concert weekend and it is unclear as to when or if the item will return to Fortnite in the future.
