Guardians Of The Galaxy Story Trailer Introduces Characters And Factions From The Epic Adventure

The Guardians of the Galaxy are gearing up for an epic adventure on October 5th, 2021 as they battle against the Universal Church of Truth – an organization whose rise to power came from a series of catastrophic events, inadvertently caused by the Guardians themselves. Taking place 12 years after the Galactic War conflict, the Guardians are a newly formed group of heroes-for-hire with less than a year of comradery under their belts. And when nobody else will stand up against the Church, the Guardians come together to tackle the problem themselves before the galaxy is lost forever.

Guardians of the Galaxy is being developed by Eidos-Montréal with Square Enix serving as producers on the project. Sacha Ramtohul Social Media & Community Manager, Eidos-Montréal ran the tape back on the PlayStation Blog following the PlayStation Showcase on September 9th, 2021 to go over some details that fans might have missed during the presentation. The game is not set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and instead focuses on an original story with unique character designs and phenomenal voice actors taking on the iconic heroes including Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien as Gamora, Nolan North as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax, and Adam Harrington as Groot.

The Church intends to bring “Promise” to the galaxy, which according to them, will bring back all that was lost during the Galactic War. As a result, the Guardians are going to need as much help as they can get and Cosmo is the canine for the job! He is an extremely powerful telepath who has taken on the role as Head of Security of Knowhere – home of the mining colony of Exitar. The safety of the people living on Knowhere is his top priority and Cosmo will assist the Guardians in their investigation and their ongoing efforts to bring them down however possible; such a good doggo.

Players will also come across the Nova Corps – a galactic space militia – that maintains peace and order throughout the galaxy that is overseen by the Worldmind – a massive supercomputer that is very reluctant to help the Guardians with their mission. The trailer concludes with a glimpse of Star-Lord’s elemental blasters that are tied to his DNA which will enable him to transform them according to his specific needs, unlocking additional ways to traverse the environment and assist players during periods of intense and action-packed combat sequences.

Guardians of the Galaxy will launch on October 26th, 2021 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Windows PC.
