Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Officially Announced With Miles And Peter Teaming Up To Battle Venom

Peter Parker and Miles Morales are preparing to take on their most dangerous villain to date with Insomniac Games revealing that fan favourite supervillain – Venom – will be making his debut in the highly anticipated sequel. The surprising announcement came during the PlayStation Showcase on September 9th, 2021 and players discovered that they would have to wait a little while before jumping into the action with a 2023 release date attached to the PlayStation 5 exclusive title.

While fans were given a brief tease at his appearance, Venom spoke with a voice that sounded familiar and Ryan Schneider – Head of Franchise Strategy & Studio Relations, Insomniac Games confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that legendary Hollywood actor Tony Todd (Candyman) would be lending his superior voice acting skills to help bring the iconic Symbiote character to life. Schneider remarks that “Tony has been such a wonderful addition to the cast” with Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter returning to reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Miles Morales respectively.

Much of the team that was involved in Marvel’s Spider-Man is returning for the upcoming sequel including Bryan Intihar, Creative Director and Ryan Smith, Game Director and development for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is pushing the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 console. Insomniac Games is crafting an all-new story for both Peter and Miles with an equal focus on telling an action-packed Superhero story along with a compelling Human story; heart and humour that will dive deep and explore the individuals that are under the mask.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to release in 2023 exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles.
