Acclaimed British Content Creator Ali-A Transforms Into An Armoured Warrior With Fortnite Icon Series
The Fortnite Icon Series has inducted another influencer into its prestigious ranks as British streamer and content creator Alastair Aiken – professionally known as Ali-A – becomes the latest powerhouse to be immortalized within the popular Battle Royale game. Epic Games announced the news and unveiled his cosmetic offerings to the community on April 15th, 2022 and disclosed that players would see him arrive in the Item Shop starting on May 19th, 2022 at 8PM EST. Aiken has over 17 million subscribers on his primary YouTube channel which features dedicated Fortnite content whilst his secondary channel typically houses a more broader spectrum of videos and creative content – outside of gaming.
Players can purchase the Ali-A Bundle for 2,500 V-Bucks from the Item Shop which comes packaged with the Ali-A Outfit, Ali-Tech Backplate Back Bling, Ali-Tech Plasmawings Glider, Lil’ Diplodoculus Emote, Ali-Tech Staff Pickaxe, and The Blue A Wrap. Epic Games has added a whopping eight different Style options for the Ali-A Outfit including: Elevated, Matroix, Ultra-Armor Matroix, Sapphire Paragon, and Titanium Tac – some utilize a Revealed or “maskless” variant. There are also emissive channels which can be toggled on/off alongside four different colours – Rare Reaper (Blue), Uncommon Combat (Green), Epic Insurgent (Purple), and Legendarian (Orange) for an extra layer of customization.
Those looking to procure individual cosmetics can do so as every one currently contained within the aforementioned bundle can be purchased separately: Ali-A Outfit available for 1,500 V-Bucks, Ali-Tech Plasmawings Glider and Ali-Tech Staff Pickaxe available for 800 V-Bucks each, with the Lil’ Diplodoculus Emote and The Blue A Wrap available for 500 V-Bucks respectively. Players also have an opportunity to unlock an additional item for themselves by completing the Ali-A Experience Creative map which can be accessed via the following Island code: 5135-8778-2901 until May 29th, 2022 at 7:59PM EST. The goal is to eliminate 25 opponents in order to earn the Ali-A Was Here Spray – not available to purchase.
Players had the opportunity to unlock the Ali-A Outfit prior to it releasing in the Item Shop by squading up with a friend and participating in the Ali-A Cup on May 18th, 2022 during a designated three hour window which varied by region. The tournament took place in Zero Build Duos and awarded the Ali-A Army Emoticon as a consolation prize to anyone that earned at least eight points before the conclusion of the event; competitors were eligible to play up to ten different matches with their partner.
