Players Can Progress Battle Passes Simultaneously In Fortnite By Earning XP From Various Experiences

Epic Games is changing up their Battle Pass model once again with players now able to progress available passes simultaneously using XP rather than separate point systems – which would often leave players frustrated since they would essentially be forced to play a mode they ignored or disliked altogether. Epic Games recently announced that Battle Pass cosmetics would no longer be restricted to seasonal exclusivity – another positive move considering many collaborations including Darth Vader and Indiana Jones are no longer obtainable for new Fortnite players due to that factor.

We hope this change encourages you to play where you want, how you want! Soon it’ll be even easier to unlock awesome rewards in Fortnite.

The idea is simple – playing ANY experience in Fortnite that awards XP will count towards progress of Battle Passes associated with Battle Royale/Zero Build, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival even if players prefer to stick with creative maps; if it awards XP then it counts! Epic Games is rolling out this system gradually and Fortnite Festival is getting a taste with the Music Pass taking centre stage; formerly known as the Festival Pass during previous seasons. Purchasing tiers of Battle Pass levels will also become a thing of the past as players will be able to procure rewards before reaching them naturally – must have already purchased the relevant pass; cannot access that which is not currently available already.

As a result, Festival Points (Fortnite Festival) have been retired with Battle Stars (Battle Royale) and Studs (LEGO Fortnite) following suit in December when Chapter 6 launches. Music and LEGO Passes will present cosmetics on a singular track like in Battle Royale with FREE and Premium rewards mixed together – players can unlock them in non-sequential order. Epic Games explains that individual passes must be purchased to access Premium items but will have an easier and presumably cheaper way of snagging them all at once; unclear if they will be included in Fortnite Crew memberships.

Fortnite is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Amazon Luna, and Android devices with iOS compatibility available through GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
