With the release of Thor: Love and Thunder in theatres this past week, Epic Games has collaborated with Marvel Comics once again to bring the iconic heroes to Fortnite for a limited time. These incarnations of the hammer-wielding characters are inspired by the aforementioned summer blockbuster and features Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reprising their roles as Thor and Jane Foster. This subsequently marks the second time that Thor has appeared within the Fortnite universe as Epic Games made him the catalyst for the entire Chapter 2 – Season 4 storyline which culminated in a legendary battle against Galactus that resultingly left the Zero Point exposed; reality was in serious trouble!

Players can purchase the Gods of Thunder Pack from the Item Shop for 2,500 V-Bucks which packages together ten cosmetics including the Thor Odinson Outfit, Thor’s Cape Back Bling, Mighty Thor Outfit, Mighty Thor’s Cape Back Bling, Stormbreaker Pickaxe, Stormbreaker’s Flight Glider, Mjolnir’s Flight Glider, and Reformed Mjolnir Pickaxe alongside the exclusive God’s of Thunder Loading Screen and Bring the Hammer Down Emote. Epic Games has made these items available only through the bundle rather than also having them as separate offerings; potential to release individually in the future.

Originally, only the Thor Odinson Outfit, Mighty Thor Outfit, Captain America Outfit, and Thor Outfit from Chapter 2 were able to wield Stormbreaker – and utilize the Pickaxe/Glider – but Epic Games has since rectified the situation and will make those particular items available to be equipped across all characters following an upcoming update to the game. As per the lore, Stormbreaker was not blessed by Odin himself, meaning that anyone can grab it rather they are worthy or not. Collaborations that coincide with Marvel content (film or series) are not uncommon as Moon Knight and Hawkeye items were previously released as well as Loki whom headlined the July 2021 Fortnite Crew Pack.
